I choose to save Kaiden over her. L2 biotic officer of the Alliance was more important to me... As for her, I found her personality to be irritating, so I considered her a expendable foot soldier.... Heheh

I always save kaiden. Not because I don't like Ash, cause I really think shes a great character, but because I feel that it's the right choice.

Same here, I slept her then left her to die by a nuclear explosion lol

She died on most of my playthroughs, sadly my FemShep couldn't romance her, so instead she let Ash fry, rescued Kaiden and turned him renegade. She's a sweetheart like that. Plus being a Soldier already, I didn't really use Ash.



I do have a paragon FemShep who saved her though (on a Liara romance playthrough), and my ManShep let her die, (the bombsite was his priority, she wasn't at it = death for Ash) plus he was a professional, reserved, disinterested sort, who ended up with zero romances in the end. Romancing Ash with those characteristics felt very jarring.



I do like Ash though, arguably more than Kaiden, but I couldn't resist keeping him around on a snarky, renegade romance. It's fun.

Even when I wasn't pursuing a romance with Ash, she was still more personable than Kaiden, or even Liara. No way I'd let my best mate burn when Angsty McEmopants steps up to play martyr.

I have saved her just to sleep with her. XD But now I save Kaiden, he is far more useful and I find her irritating. Also sometimes if she is alive she tries it on and then you have to have her as a romance in ME2. I want to be single God Damn It! haha

Yeah Kaiden got the axe in my game. i was under the impr4ession back then that the squad of ME1 would be the same in ME2. So i thought it'd be better to have a soldier in my squad than another biotic.

Kaiden is more usefull,especially on higher difficulties.And he is a rare biotic,has a higher rank,is high decorated.Could be the next human spectre easily.

i killed off ashley, kaiden's biotics are too worthwhile, plus i'm not boning her anyways.(or liara)

She's dead in my canon. It's not that I didn't like the character, it was all a matter of role playing. Firstly, I like Ash but didn't love her, I like Kaiden a lot too, I imagined him as being my Shep's best friend, and it just made sense to go back to Kaiden's position at the bomb site IMHO.

I hate both Kaiden and Ashley. Virmire was a hard decision to make in the entirely opposite way. Instead of wondering which to save and which to kill, I went with which to kill and which one was remaining. In the end, I went with Kaiden because I despise him just a few grains more than Ashley. Of course, I did break Ashley's heart choosing her over Liara, so... yeah.
Although I did compensate by killing Ashley in my next playthrough. That said, I was mostly FemShep. It's proven fact your game experience elevates by 60% playing as her and hearing Ms. Hale's voice.

If im a soldier i usually kill her off, I wish there was a third option to kill them both off.
