Harrier, in my opinion. It´s easy to use, does great damage and has very good stability. It´s good choice for new and seasoned players alike. It´s weapon that will hold you, if you can´t do well with character and are reduced to shooting only.

especially in this game.
MY" best" weapons are the Wraith and Talon. also have a fondness for the Venom and the Hurricane.
yes these are either regarded as "crutches" or controversial (in the Venom's case) but whatever the talk surrounding them, they're all effective. which is why I use them.

Probably the Arc pistol.
Packs a discrete punch (even better if charged), can be spammed, can be charged, bypasses the shield gate, is accurate from distance, has little recoil, is light, has access to plenty of useful mods, looks nice, plus it's quarian.
Not the best in terms of damage but really well rounded and versatile.

This varies by class, but if I had to pick the ONE best,
most universally applicable weapon, I'd probably pick the
Hurricane. Great damage, light enough weight to be put
on literally any caster, decent capacity, fantastic fire-rate,
manageable recoil and accuracy.

I don't think I would have clocked half the time if this game did not have the Claymore. Perhaps not the very best - in being the most effective and efficient - weapon in the game (easily one of the best though), but definitely the greatest gun for me.

Black Widow; horrendously disappointing on anything that's not a winfiltrator and overbuffed to the point of being stupidly overpowered thanks to the cloak / sniper combo.

Neither is the reegar, the reegar by itself is only "good" without incendiary ammo's glitches causing your ammo power damage to triple stack on each application
Overall it would be the harrier, the combination of low recoil, automatic, high damage and good accuracy, compiled with the fact that it works well on every kit in the game makes it the best gun, and hilariously - not half as overpowered compared to the winfiltrator BW or GT / kroguard / KS Reegar.

Wraith. It took me awhile to come around to this weapon early in my gameplay. Now, it's my preferred weapon for like 75% of the kits. I have to force myself to use anything else.

there is no best weapon because its not that simple what is good on one person can suck on another just use what you are best with
