Even though I made mostly paragon choices on my final playthrough I took the renegade dialogue path with Garrus. Knowing that what I told him would shape his character in the second game I decided that i wanted Garrus to be a badass. What did you guys do and what was your play style?

Yeah, I groomed Garrus into quite the little renegade. He's much too useful to squander his talents in C-Sec.

I was Paragon all the way. Just because I choose to avoid conflict when possible does not a badass unmake. A true badass doesn't need to fight, because the opposition knows the consequences.

Most recently I left him on the Citadel the whole game. It will build his character, teach him not to quit his job on the assumption that a Spectre will let him join her.

really who does he think he is thinking that he desreves to be part of your crew that'll show him

I went all the way paragon (insert a few renegade choices here) and ended up making garrus renegade, i felt it was the right thing to do honestly, i never looked at it like 'renegade'. Its was what he wanted after all.

I'll admit, I made him Renegade, but that's because I actually agreed with him.

You know, making him Renagade is one of the few ways a Renegade character can show they're not a xenophobic psychopath.

I did 3 ways, go back to Csec/Spectre training (Para), neutral (Garrus didn't know what he going to do next) or just Spectre Training (Rene)

I felt that he would be more effective if he didnt worry about all of the rules and just did things his own way, heres to hoping that ends up true. At least before Shep shows up to save his tail

I paper trained him until he was housebroken, then I tied a bell to the door so he could ring it if he ever had to go to the "little turians room"

Both, of course. But I prefer Garrus on my renegade Shepard, they think exactly the same. Eliminate the threat immediatly, regardless of the cost.

I turned him "renegade". He would anyway join the Spectre candinacy only with some C-Sec work inbetween if you turn him paragon.
