Legion and the Geth (theory)

Obviously there has been a lot of talk about Legion and his role in ME2. My theory is that he and a faction of the Geth can be recruited to help you.
Forget for a moment whether or not he is a squad mate. We've all seen in the Sci v Fi part 2 video that shows Shepard is helping him walk, which clearly means he is trying to save Legion's life. In the Enemies of ME2 video, Casey said that Legion represents a faction of the Geth with different beliefs. And then there are 2 achievments concernign Legion: "Obtain Geth technology" and "Hack a Geth collective"
So what do you think? Could gaining Legion's loyalty result in help from (a faction of) the Geth with fighting the Collectors?

He is the leader of the Geth faction....it would be cool if the geth technology was like a weapon or some sort of data disc or something...and we can help Legion and in return get the data...or we can hack it from him, and then he becomes a rival or enemy to us.

Big assumptions and a closed mind are certianly great assets in a Science Fiction game....you rock!DonDaMon wrote...

Legion may have to gather up some more geth units in order to help you battle the Collecters....Or whoever the true threat may be. He would then have to go......ok screw this....
He would be like the Arbiter in the Halo games....the Arbiter was the Master Chief's counterpart..... c'mon you have to know where I'm going with this here....

Maybe this suicide mission will end up being a sort of multi-lateral mission where Shepard recruits other groups to help out in addition to his main squad, sorta like Dragon Age.
Legion's Geth are certainly one possibility.
What about the Rachni Queen's Brood, if you chose to free her? I would love to see her make a comeback and be grateful to Shepard for letting her species live.
Maybe the Quarians, I dunno.

dude...its a placebo...the geth are my favorite bioware creation. Of course i'd want Legion to be a badass.

I'm pretty sure that "hack a geth collective" achievement is something you get after Legion's "personal" quest, that would probably involve - guess what? - hacking a Geth collective, possibly rewriting them to join the collective that Legion is from. I'm sure it'll be somewhat more complicated than that though.

And yeah....the whole Legion thing.....doesn't mean he has to be a squadmate....
Though he could be for the later portion of the game....but I really don't think he will be, but I'm not ruling that out.

This is quite ironic, because earlier in the day I thought about this and was gonna post it, but decided against it. That would be quite the interesting turn of events if that was true.
...well we'll find out soon enough (6 days soon enough to be exact).

It's been on my mind the past few days, so I decided to post it.
