LOL. Notice how you lump everyone into a group as score****s if they disagree with your philosophy. Most of us don't need duration cloak to stay alive, I guess cerebral play is dumping aggro for long periods of time on your teammates. Well done.Buckwh3at5 wrote...
Good points Shadz your preaching to the converted in my case tho - bro...I notice, unsurprisingly, the score ****s went for damage. Duration is a more subtle cerebral play perhaps more satisfying even. But I like the team oriented inclinations that duration encourages. Lol but average and yet hardy players such as myself will spin that lol. Bottom line - compelling, I'm sold.

Actually, I'd prefer to just kill things faster. Actually...I was in a pug with someone who used duration cloak on their TGI and when we all bled out, all they did was spam stim packs and duration cloak. For about a minute until they were brutally gunned down by the enemy because they couldn't be bothered to kill things while we were alive.
I realize this is kind of an extreme example, but your thread is kind of extreme itself.

+1.
MP is awesome, but it is entirely about killing enemies. There are no benefits to avoiding killing enemies, except occasionally to keep more enemies from spawning near an objective. If there were goals built around sneaking or sabotage or map control, then maybe duration would offer strategic benefits. Currently though, time spent skirting around the map lining up perfect headshot or dumping aggro is counter to the main goal of the MP game.

It's like you completely ignored that people who take damage still get 5.2 seconds of invisibility. Even with the damage evolution you can still do most of the things on your list.

hit a nerve did I? I'd cry devil's advocate but that wouldn't be the truth. Yeah my bad for staying alive and others while the lump sums hotdog it come on bsn complaining how pugs suck and they carried everyone. And then have the gall to disparage anyone going against consensus. Well done you.NuclearTech76 wrote...

I don't mind differing opinions but when you label people not agreeing with you with something like "score ****s" you lost me. Well done yourself.

How is scorewhoring a bad thing? You kill things, you are asset to the team, you make completion time faster.
You can't be tacti-cool in mass effect, either you kill things fast or things kill you fast. <_<

Did you ever think that maybe your cerebral play is what is leading to your team getting their asses shot off? Who is helping their team more the guy killing stuff or the one hiding like a pus?

You hiding in cloak isn't helping your team, it makes things worse for them. You sound absolutely clueless.Buckwh3at5 wrote...

Now this I can understand. There's nothing wrong with it suiting your playstyle better, and you aren't making disparaging comments to others who think differently.hostaman wrote...
I don't agree that duration is always better than damage, but I always take duration because it suits my conservative play style better and means I can clutch and carry in dodgy pugs.

That said, I still go with duration on a few of my infiltrators just for something different. It's viable, but simply not as good.
