The best way you can support your team mates is by killing stuff....
If future iterations of Mass Effect co-op introduced a real need for support classes (such as shields and health, or ammo and powers not being replenished without support classes to replenish them) then that would be just awesome, but I doubt bioware will try anything that dynamic for a shooter game.

Being able to go behind enemy lines taking out problem mooks before they become a problem for my teammates is very beneficial.

Well.. hell yeah it can.. because they totally DO NOT respawn in 0.001 seconds somewhere else...

I still do take damage on certain infiltrators because there are times where it is preferable. Also this is just my personal preference not trying to say that duration is better than damage this is just what I like to spec into.

And that was 1 less elite mook your team had to deal with, better than that mook killing 1-2 of your teammates before it went down.

Actually I play my Duration-Inf more aggressive than I do my Damage-Inf. I like to play fast-paced. I find myself at times not playing as wreckless (not that you should) with a damage build. The faster I get to an emeny (or group of them) undetected the quicker I can prime it for me or another player.Fortack wrote...

Also, why put duration> damage in the title if you would later say duration is not better than damage?

Enemy lines are like 10 feet away.

All the things you mentioned are able to be done with the damage rank.

Because general consensus on BSN is that damage > duration. Putting a statement to the contrary is likely to get people in here ready to argue and call the OP a scrub.

Why do you need more than 5.2s to flank enemies?Dolun wrote...

It's supposed to be biased. It's a 'duration appreciation and support' post.Cyonan wrote...
It's fine if you prefer duration over damage, but your list is pretty horribly biased.
It's like you completely ignored that people who take damage still get 5.2 seconds of invisibility. Even with the damage evolution you can still do most of the things on your list.
There are plenty of damage-evo threads and comments, but I've never seen a comprehensive list on Duration. People tend to look at the evo as a 'support' power, but I've flip-flopped each Inf using Damage and Duration evos and find that it has more practical uses than people give it credit for. I didn't overlook that Dam has the same 5-sec base cloak time, I just pointed out where the extended time (beyond the 5) maybe useful to unskilled or console players. People tend to overlook that not all players are maxed manifest, sniper-crackers. So for them a Duration kit maybe more beneficial.

If each individual mook is killing 2 of your teammates, you don't need duration cloak to save them, because saving them is not only near-impossible, but pointless.

I tend to take duration more than damage just because I like the amount of time I have to move into a new position. Also the damage bonus at rank 4 is additive so it is nowhere near as powerful as some people like to believe. It is nothing to sneeze at, but it is also not the game changer that others pretend it is.
A 40% damage boost is VERY powerful, and can certainly be a game changer. It can make the difference between body shots being OHKs or not, drop bosses in approximately 2/3 of the time, and all around make things die faster, which 90% of the time is the best way to support your teammates

Well every game isn't the same, in some scenarios one is better than the other, Everyone should be able to agree on that.

The only thing duration allows you to do is drop aggro longer and thus screw your team more BUT BUT BSN and their selfish killwh0res are wrong because some scrub wants to be a special snowflake.
