I was living on my best friends brothers couch at the time because he had a DUI and couldn't drive anywhere so I was his personal driver. One night I was out with some friends inhaling some substances to get a different mind set. I came home to take him to Gamestop. The gentlemen at the counter said if you like starwars then this game is good and he wanted something he could use a gun. As he played the game I instantly knew that I was going have to play it. And thus it was history. Plus seeing it on a 46" Flat screen was impressive enough. It starts to look as though you're watching toys.

I was a big fan of Kotor1. Because it was star wars. Then i heard they were making a similar game but their own franchise. Read a review then decided to buy it.

One of those.. "hmm not sure about this" decisions that turned out to be awesome.

I tried to buy it off a friend's recommendation but my graphics card wasn't up to snuff. I later saw it on sale in the steam store for 10 bucks after I had upgraded GFX cards. Best 10 bucks I've ever spent.

On the interwebs though I didn't pay much attention to it. I nabbed it when it was on sale at GAME. Did not regret the purchase at all.

I knew it existed, but I was never a fan of mass-market SF (if I had a dollar for every scientific facepalm in Star Trek...). Then a friend recommended it, it was summer and Oblivion had failed to draw me in so I thought, why the hell not? The rest is history :)
