I've tried to enter this building in Denerim market district about 8 times so far, and every single time, my game has gone through random amounts of the loading screen, then crashed before actually zoning into the area. Has anyone else had this problem there, or elsewhere and if so, are there any solutions to allow me to enter?

Check the crash log to see what it says. It is located in a subdirectory of "C:\\Documents and Settings\\yourusername\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\" by default.
