OP, I'm willing to play with you. I have a mic but almost never use it. I'm not as good as the celebs that previously posted, but I can usually carry on Gold if needed and can handle U/U/P with the stronger kits.

What level are you looking to play, by the way?

I have to admit that this is probably true... I am a terrific caddy, thoroughly enjoy carrying the bag of the masters here. And I've got the best seat in the house (after yet another sync kill) to marvel at their work.Image IPB

Unfortunately, it seems that I have already overstayed my welcome here. Lurking hole, here I come.

Hey, just speaking as a neutral party in all this...

But OP was just seeking some friends out. Regardless of who feels what about each other, can we focus the topic back around to that and not get his/her topic shut down because of forum in-fighting?

Happy New Year's, all.

And OP, if you're looking for more drunken strangers to add, feel free to shoot me a friend request.

I agree with this. I do enjoy trolling on this forum but I don't want to be the cause for a new player's thread being locked. My posts were light-hearted and all in good spirit.

Cato, shake hands?

@dumdum2: Saying you would help OP, if you were on the same platform doesn't help much. If you read the title, you could have at least given some advice that actually would help the OP. I'm pretty sure it entertains you, but please stop beeing a d*ck and do something useful.

He's agreeing to lay down arms on his side. I say let's leave it at that and let the OP's thread go back on course.

I didn't really get the chance to make following helpful posts before it got out of hand.

I haven't been a d*ck on this forum for a few days now and I've posted a lot of helpful stuff. But hey, if you guys will treat all my posts the same no matter what I write, then why would I even try to be anything but a d*ck here?

If you don't bother me then I will not bother you, deal?

Look, it's never too late to write something helpful for OP.

With d*ck I was just referring to this thread now, so don't get me wrong. I've seen you post useful stuff in other threads, keep it up.

And deal.

All right, let's get this thread back on track.

OP, I know you said that you don't want to play with experienced players because it kinda made you feel useless, but you also asked for advice on the best way to unlock more characters and stuff.

Now the truth here is that you have to make a choice:

1. You can get some experienced teammates that will help you develop as a player as well as helping you get credits a lot faster, thus you will unlock things a lot faster

2. You can play the game with less experienced players, learn the game by yourself and unlock things slower, but at least you will contribute more to the result of a match

Aside from that there are a lot of different game mechanics that you need to get used to if you want to become a better player, and I'm sure some players here can show you most of it when playing together.

Well OP welcome to ME3MP, honestly I have enjoyed it quite a bit. Lots of fun to be had with it. Many of the previous posters are awesome people to play with and BSN is a good place to find tips and advice in general... well most of the time :P

I'm on a trip and won't be back for a week or two but if you are still looking for people to play with feel free to add me.

Thank you all for the welcome! I played with a fun group of people yesterday. I haven't run into any jerks, perhaps they'll give me a rough time when they warm up to me? I picked up some tips, it only took a few hours before they started trolling my corpse. >_> I unlocked a couple of cool characters and can't wait to get more!

I think I enjoy more challenging levels, as long as my partners don't mind my tactical retreats (running away screaming from Geth Primes). I like taking the longer route to unlock everything, it's all part of the experience. I do have a mic, but I'm a little shy at first. I'll eventually start talking smack though. ^_^

I appreciate the advice so far. I did get tunnel vision on harder levels and got chomped by a few banshees. I'm used to my biotic baddie Shepard! Is there anything I can do to unlock vorcha or is it just random luck?

Again, thanks for the responses. I'll be sending off friend requests in a bit!

Random luck.

Or there's the other theory...that evil BioWare mind reading devices installed on your disc actually KNOW what thing you desire most and withhold it from you as long as possible.

I can confirm that there was corpse trolling and running away from Primes (can also confirm she made me cry from the smack talk).

Had fun playing with you last night, we'll have to do so again before I go back to university in February. Maybe then you'll truly understand the power of the hotdog.

Yeah, last night was a lot of fun. We should do it again sometime, and apologies for my scrubbiness :P

You may have been successful in temporarily yanking me out, but do you realize that you have just started a stampede towards lurking hole... I don't know if there is a cavern in the galaxy big enough to hold them all.Image IPB

Oh well, I suppose I'll have to keep playing until I am finally at one with my vorcha. <3 I had a lot of fun tonight, too. The players I met through here are great! It will be a shame when it finally becomes my turn to desecrate your corpses. U_U

This is a real pain in the butt way of doing it, but there IS one method of unlocking a Vorcha faster.

Your best bet is to try for a Soldier or Sentinel since those were released in the same DLC pack. And I like those better than the Vorcha Hunter Engineer anyway, so bias. LOL

You play with your new-found friends and/or BSNers and get a good stockpile of credits saved up. Like, a few million. That's not too hard to achieve if your buddies are pulling you through Gold or Platinum matches.

After you get your little stockpile, exit the game and go to your Game Data. Not your Save Game Data, just the regular ol' Game Data. Delete the ME3 DLC you have there (don't panic, it will be okay). Then, go to the Playstation store and download ONLY the Rebellion DLC pack. Go back to your game, go in the ME3 MP store, and spend all your credits on Spectre Packs (or Premium Spectre/Reserves Packs).

What this does is reduce your potential unlocks down to just the stuff from the original game and the Rebellion DLC. You aren't "competing" with all the other DLC characters/guns/etc while trying to get your Vorcha. Do bear in mind that during this time, you won't be able to play with others who do have all the DLCs downloaded. Just do your store purchase, get your Vorcha, then back out of the game.

Once you get what you wanted and/or run out of credits, NOW go back to the Playstation store and download all the rest of the DLCs you had for the game. Any of your single player DLCs will need to be re-downloaded, too. But you don't have to buy them again, just go to your store download history and re-download them. This will make you whole again, you can connect to your friends again, and you'll likely have a shiny new Vorcha to play with.

Or, if that's too much hassle, just keep doing what you're doing and you'll eventually get there.

That makes sense! It should be a lot faster to reunite with my vorcha kin that way. Is it considered "cheating" in the eyes of purists? If everyone else got it the hard way, I must do so as well. U_U
