What if the Male Quarian Marksman traded his Sabotage for the Male Quarian Engineers Arc Grenades?

How would it change the way these characters are currently played?

I think this would be interesting to discuss! :)

I only have 3 points in Sabotage since it doesn't really function well with his other powers. So what if he has Arc Grenades instead?

The Quarian Engineer is way too good with the explosions lol, since Arc Grenades can detonate Incinerate instantly for a Fire Explosion and Incinerate can detonate Arc Grenades for a Tech Burst. So what if he had Sabotage instead?

Then the QME would be balanced, and the QMS would be a top-tier kit.

The MQE would lose his spawn-nuking ability, but sabotage->scan->incinerate would be nasty against bosses with all that debuff, and incinerate detonating a TB from the sabotage prime to boot.

Except that in the time you detonate that combo, the boss is probably already dead... XD

The Quarksman would be OP. Throwing Arc Grenades then using Marksman would just be stupidly powerful.

That's why we already have the MQI

The QME would actually be an Engineer rather than a grenading soldier, and the Quarksman would be....weird. Tac Scan/Grenades/Marksman sounds OP but....something about it just doesn't sound right.

Putting 3 points in sabotage is... suboptimal, backfire or nothing.
QMS with arc nades would have been lolOP
MQE with sabotage would have been interesting.

Combo from BF-inc will take ~2-3 sec depending on CD and scan will add ~2sec.
I see you point, but bosses are usually last longer, unless you play destroyer with striker :whistle:

What if the Infiltrator had Sabotage instead of Arc Grenades?

Then he and the QFI would resemble each other. One would be good with Weapons and the other has Sticky Grenades. D:

QFI with TC, Sabotage & Tac Scan would be a poorman's weapon infiltrator, but would have tremendous debuff ability with TS + Tech Vulnerability on Sabotage + whatever weapon damage you'd get....

Oh, wait, the Quarksman is already that, with Marksman instead of TC.

Would the Marksman be better off if he was an Infiltrator with Tactical Cloak? and by better I mean function better.

We already know that a Marksman with Arc Grenades would be better, OP even. lol

Sure - TC -> Marksman -> shoot = insane weapon damage. I'm guessing you'd trade TC for Sabotage on the Marksman, so you could even take it a step further and TS first, then cloak, MM & shoot and the damage would make you cry from all the melting of face you'd be able to do:lol:

What is the better skill set?

1)Tac Scan, Tactical Cloak, Sabotage.

2)Tac Scan, Marksman, Sabotage.

Hmm, depends on what you value in a character and what weapon. Tac cloak gives some survivability while also boosting dps while marksman is a pure dps boost. For snipers (or whatever is boosted at rank 6) I'd say tac cloak is better all around. Though for weapons that rank 6 of cloak doesn't specialize in Marksman will give better damage bonuses.

Actually, since cloak also boosts arc grenade damage, I'm gonna have to go with number 1. Less weapon damage (unless specializing) but more power damage and some survivability.

This would completely destroy the engineer and slightly enhance the soldier. Why do people wish the soldier had arc grenades? We already have a quarian engineer and an infiltrator who both have arc grenades. If I ever felt the need to spam grenades, I'll use either of those characters. If I'm in the mood for some marksman/tactical scan action, I'll use the soldier. Sabotage is a terrible power for the marksman, but it doesn't need to be replaced with arc grenades. That would turn him into a grenade spammer and shift the focus away from marksman. The engineer doesn't just mindlessly spam his grenades, he creates explosions and tech bursts.

I think 2) is the better skill set Ari. Debuff plus the ability to multiply damage output, way too much fun. I know it's kinda OT but since Marksmen and Tac Cloak are being brought up in the tread can you imagine the G.I with Marksmen instead of PM. Now that would truly be the most OP thing ever in the game. lol

Yes, why would he spam grenades when he has Marksman?

If this kit existed, he would throw 1 grenade then proceed to kill everything with Marksman and his weapon.
