Me2's about-face treatment of pyjak's was interesting, and welcome(for some)
After accidentally running over a pyjak with the mako (or ten) in me, and having to restart the effort on the planet. The prospect of gunning down and smashing pyjak's into a squishy pulp, is a darkly cherished pleasure >:}

It's just general buffoonery. All of Tuchanka is trying to illustrate that. Like listen to Thane or Garrus' environmental dialogue or how the Krogan see themselves. They just embrace violence in every facet, in an almost innocent, casual sort of way.
