Is there any way to get wings (homunculous) to animate when applied as a SEF?  They either animate as Salvador Dahli impressions of wings, or are legit wings that just stay still.

Why?  Trying to SEF a Tressym, as opposed to trying to model one.  Interestingly, I did try to invis/sef a cat over a homunculous, but that didn't worjk well (wings either sefed and static, or part of model and invised).

Animation in vfx that use models is very problematic.
Try looking at this:

Only issue there is that these are for humanoids; I need wings I can put on a kitty.

I tried making the homunculous invisible (alpha = 0), but the wings are part of it, so that sorta failed (and "invis. man" is also just alpha = 0, apparently).

Secret to animation in VFX with models: Looping, and having the game opened in Run Model as well as the VFX with a test-object. Since the editor only shows you humans, if you're intending on adding the model to, say, a homunculous, you need a test dummy...

To use animations in model VFX you also have to assign the correct skeleton in the SEF settings. Otherwise you risk Dali-esque results.

Using animated model VFX that use a different skeleton to the creature you're attaching them too can also result in visual mayhem.
