If allowed to live, what do you think Anders is doing between DA2 and DAI?

Anders is most likely guilting some other gullable, hopeless romantic into living in their house, doing his dirty work and then dumping the responsibility of dealing with his actions on his new "love".... or maybe I'm just bitter

Well let's see, one of my Anders has joined Morrigan in Orlais to offer her his assistance since they are both former buddies of the Warden. I see mischief in the making and also tracking down this Cole fellow to see what they have in common.

The Anders I let go and whose side I left after he blew up the Chantry is killing Templars to his hearts content.

My dead Anders' is waiting for his chance to make an appearance from the new fade sequence in DAI. Whom my Inquisitor asks him how he likes everything from this new venue. I see nagging in the future here.   Wynne is right there with him wagging her finger at him.

My one Anders who I made side with me for the Templars is busy hunting me down. He'll have a hard time. I went to the Eluvian mirror and changed my bloody face before I left town.

Sir Pounce is with my live Wardens. Maker only knows where.

I don't get one thing with Anders...

Well anders took justice voluntarily as well connor and that was reason why we could heal him only thing you needed is kill demon in fade so why we we couldn't do that with anders?

The explanation in Origins was that the demon joined Connor in the fade and what wasn't physically in the world yet. That's why you had to go to the fade to kill it. Voluntary has nothing to do with it.
Anders and Justice were joined in the physical world. You cant go to the fade and kill Justice because he isn't there, he is fully in the physical world.
My opinion is that if you killed Anders then Justice would either return to the fade, need another host or just bring Anders back. The body/host need not be living for him to get into it since that's how he ended up in the physical world in the first place.Don't forget Wynne has a spirit in her also. One that brings her back from the dead. So even if you "killed" Anders in Act 3 Justice may not have let him die. If that's the case then there may be no way to get Justice out of Anders. Unless Anders asked him to leave but he may prefer the person he became with Justice and not the selfish person he was before. He would have to want to be separated from Justice.

I would hope he's getting punched in the testicles. A lot.

Wherever he is, you know he's whining about it and blaming someone else for his troubles.

 Because he's Anders? Or because he's male?

I would just murder knife the bastard. As long as he's alive, he can still do damage.

Most probably organizing a small band of mage resistance or even being with the main mage forces..

Anders is now most probably a very very influential and a wanted person in Thedas...For what he did...

I actually kept him alive because I want to see what he does in this war....Seeing as he sort of light the fuse...

If I see him in Inquisition, I will spare him if he is not a full blown abomination like those in the Circle tower...

I really want a good conclusion for Anders and I don't mean death. A handsome, charming and fun mage with witty tongue becomes a tortured looking mage who sacrifices everything he has when he accepts Justice's offer of merging to help all mages in Thedas. Both Justice and Anders deserve an ending and a good one. If you kill Anders in DA2 he already has a good ending. Instant death with smile on his face forever free of pain. I mean compare his death to Meredith's who probably has one of the most horrific deaths of all gaming history. Too turn into stone and feel everything in process. Fitting really.

hopefully conducting more decapitation strikes, killing local chantry and templar leaders, as well as the secular power that supports them.

This topic has been bugging my mind for awhile.
Just wanted to know people's thoughts about where Anders possibly is and what's he doing.
Yes, I'm fully aware ALOT of players killed him in The Last Straw and I'm not talking about that.

I would hope Anders went to Rivain to better understand his symbiosis with Justice, since the seers might be able to help him. Since Anders encouraged my apostate Champion to be a leader to the mage revolution, I don't think it would be far fetched for him to try to come to terms with what he's become.

Since he indirectly caused Dairsmuid to be Annuled, and some Seers probably killed because of it, I am not sure what reception he would receive in Rivain.

I'm sure the opinions about Anders would be as varied as they are here, but I think the seers are a good option for him to pursue in terms of understanding himself now, since he often seemed to be guessing and theorizing about what he's become now that Justice is a part of him. The seers have been merging with spirits for a millennia as part of their tradition, so they may hold the answers.

I imagine he's Thedas' Most Wanted apostate. I let him live, but he left my side so my guess is that he's either outrunning Templars or standing trial under the mages. Some of the mages might hate what he did, most might believe he did the right or necessary thing, but I don't know if it's going to be a major plot point so idk.

We could end up having a choice similar to Legacy

Inquisitor: What do you guys think I should do

*various companion responses*

Varric: Hawke let him live, don't know if that means anything, but he/she saw something in him

These blondes, sir, they're responsible for a lot of trouble.
-Agatha Christie

Well depending on the playthrough he may be;

A) Trying to gather more mages under his banner.
B) Ruminating on the monster he has become as the other mages shun him and contemplating suicide, or
C) He is being suppressed by his lover.

If you murder-knifed him in the conclusion of DA2, I have a feeling Justice will be hunting
for Hawke's @ss to pay him/her back for killing his puppet.

Dead - I didnt like how he disliked me for not hitting on him back in Act 1.

But to think about it I may have left him alive because Sebastian threaten me with his army from Starkhaven trying to force my Hawke to make a choice.

I let him live. The only interest I have is to see what his current relationship to Justice is. My Hawke might have thought him a friend, but my Inquisitor has no such ties to him. My mage might even resent him for starting all of this mess.

I am quite curious to see how the symbiotic relationship between the two fares after the conclusion of DA2. Will it worsen, or strengthen? There has to be some kind of reaction, as I doubt Anders will feel the same way he did when he caused the explosion. When things quiet down and he really thinks on what he did, I think he might be, at least deep down, utterly horrified by his actions, no matter how hard he tries to rationlise his actions.

I have to agree on how an Inquisitor might respond to meeting him on his/her travels. My Inquisitor mages wouldn't be too pleased to find the source of the madness surrounding the mage, templar war standing in front of them spouting his allegience with the mages drove him to do it. MY mage Warden would slap the head clean off his shoulders after giving him The Look. Then, the rant to end all rants will usher in the end of the world.

If my Hawkes are anywhere near him, it'd be to mitigate the damage he might try to cause in the fallout of the game. Otherwise he/she will be off with their respective love interests trying to put as much distance between them and the fallout of Anders' actions.

He's dead. If should not remain so, he will die again. Simple.
