I can't help but notice the many dislikes toward EDI, that makes me sad because she's such a fun character!

The Infiltration Unit is one of my FAVORITE class characters. I think it's an awesome close range Infiltrator. Favorites for me per class are Fury Adept, Destroyer Soldier (no missile glitch), Talon Merc Engineer, Turian Sentinel, Infiltration Unit and Geth Infiltrator (especially with the Javelin), and Batarian Brawler Vanguard. Least favorites are original Humans of all classes, Volus Adept, Quarian Marksman Soldier, Demolisher Engineer, Guardian Sentinel, N7 Shadow, though she's actually pretty good, and the Cabal Vanguard. Anything Krogan and Vorcha are among my favorites too.

I know.  Shes definately my second favorite infiltrator, and one of the most fun characters to play.  Especially when I want to feel Stupendously OP on bronze just for fun.  

My guess is that people don't so much dislike her, as the fact that she is so powerful and is just seen too often.

I also find it interesting how many times the FQI has shown up on this list, and seems to be fairly evenly split between favorite and least favorite.

I agree, people view it like the TGI however.

She is hardly more powerfull than HI, MQI, frog, drellfiltrator and, ofc, she can't hold a candle to the GI. 
It's the fact that she is stupidly easy to play agressively and stay alive above ones level of difficulti (like TGI, like Jugg).

I don't mind the AIU, but I find that 1) if I want something to just blow through a game with, the TGI+Harrier is better; and 2) if I want to murder stuff with a shotgun, the GI is better. (Although oddly, if I'm grinding shotgun points, the AIU gets me more points per game than the GI. Prox mine stealing damage, I guess.)

EDI is the best up close melee kit in the game, she can OHK a Platinum Phantom if done correcty.

(I know the Krogan Warlord is the most destructive, but EDI has speed + damage.)

I love all drells, salarians and smashbros.
I find infiltrators except SI, melee shadow and DI boring. I hate volus in general. The talon merc is not even an engineer, he is some weird character altogether.
