The other day I was inspecting my weapons arsenal and under a pile of broken shurikens that I used as door blockers I found it...
how am I supposed to use it properly? I tried it as a club but the Widow is bigger and worked better, yet I really hate to have URs that I don't use, and aided by the fact that I don't have a lot of AR amps III while I have tons of sniper and pistol ones I always preferred Paladin and Valiant to it, which, besides, are even lighter and with faster reload (even cancelled).
Therefore I need your help to find suitable builds for the big old iron, preferably without marksman though.
Thanks in advance and happy new year to everyone:wizard:

Sabar is the perfect mix between a sniper and an assault rifle. Put it on a kit that has fingers and shot things in the head. Done right, you might even remove the head of enemy snipers, if you catch my drift.

I run the Saber on Quarksman, TSol, GE, GI, GT, Volus engineer & Huntress.
Crutch scanner + priecing mods + drill ammo & shoot to da face.

If you are unsure, use it on the TGI. Use the thermal scope with extended barrel and use AP/Drill rounds. I promise you that you'll get 20 headshot medal by wave 4 against cerberus

Like this. You do need good aim. I suck with it for the times when my aim is pretty off.
Lol just saw that you preferred without marksman. TBH, the gun isn't really accurate so those with marksman I feel (I know I'm not alone on this) are the kits that bring out its potentional and even with marksman it's still not pinpoint. Hunter mode kits can also use the gun well. If you really want it to be pinpoint accurate you'd need the scope which I preferrably would rather not use.

I like this too.
Btw, what is your colour scheme for this TSol?
Lol that's not me dude. That's Lord_Sirian, a former bsner but I've taken cues from his and d_nought's videos on how to use that gun which isn't really hard if you have good aim.

Thanks everybody for the advice!
I'll test it on the geth engineer first, I was just looking for an alternative to my wraith (which is good, but I realized I put it on 50% of my characters).
Just a final question: barrel+magazine mod + piercing ammo (drill/ap) or barrel+piercing mod + incendiary ammo? (for geth engineer)
Also @Inconsistent Seas: I can't see your link

Why are people saying the Saber isn't accurate? I find it it be remarkably accurate. The reticle bloom can be difficult to deal with at times, but it seems to me it always hits in the center of the reticle, even if that center can be difficult to identify due to bloom.
I prefer high ROF weapons for Marksman kits, such as the Hurricane or Typhoon, but I like the Saber a lot. I use it primarily on the Turian Sentinel and Drell Infiltrator.
I used to use it on the TGI until I started only using him in Plat, where I find the Saber a bit too slow. Now he's one of my two Harrier kits (BatSol being the other for the spare ammo in his passive).

Used it with success on Quarian Marksman, TSol/Sent, BatSol/Sent, and Geth Engineer. I go with extended clip and extended barrel with AP or Drill ammo. It's kind of a hybrid AR/Sniper rifle. It's heavy so I don't equip another weapon with it. While it has a slower ROF, I love its damage. It is still very versatile as an accurate long range headshot machine or a fire from the hip close blast. Effective on a variety of maps. Asari huntress and Volus Engineer? Hmm--going to have to try that.

Saber does not shoot straight when you fire at full ROF. The spread isn't huge, but it's enough to miss a lot of headshots from mid-range.

14 shots at full ROF without Hunter Mode on. With HM on those shots would be practically indistinguishable.

Be mindful of the timing with it. It doesn't fire that fast, but you'll find it to be more than accurate when you get it into a rhythm between firing, reloading, and using your powers. I'm in the Turian Ghost camp, and when you get cooking with it it becomes a hammer. Best AR in ME3 IMHO.

Geth, Overload, Marksman, Adrenalin Rush.

I like it on the TGI and on basic human/BF3 soldier. Saber was my first UR I ever unlocked, many moons ago, and I didn't have a lot of kits to use it with. Used it with the human soldier frequently in the early days of MP.
