I'm playing yet another Dragon Age Origins game and seeing one of thier agents near the Circle tower made me wonder about what the collective thinks of the current mage/templar events that have taken place in Thedas.

Please note that I did not play past Act 1 in DA2 so forgive me if the mages collective was already mentioned in that game.

I was disappointed that the mage's collective quests didn't get repeated in DA2. That probably had something to do with the whole game being devoted to mages vs. templars.

The side quests in DAO were a lot of fun and I hope something like it returns.

Given their line of work. I'm pretty sure they don't have a "home base" and are probably in the "Mages deserve to live in the general populace" clique.

As for above me, I'm pretty sure the mage's collective was in DA2. You just had to trigger it with some mage friendly choice or something.

Do we ever get any evidence that the Mage's Collective's influence stretches beyond Ferelden?

They were wiped out in one of their meetings when someone changed into an abomination.

I seriously hope that wasn't the case. I haven't played DA 2 recently so I don't recall if they were mentioned

There was a "Mage Underground" set of quests that triggered if you sided with the mages early, but not a "Mage's Collective" one.  Perhaps they don't have a strong presence in the Free Marches?  Anyway, I doubt they'll come back except maybe in a codex entry, considering how large the conflict between mages and templars is now.

In Dawn of the Seeker, the group of mages Galyan is a part of sound like the Mage's Collective, although it might have another name in Orlais.

Where them ****es at eh?

I don't think they'd be as underground now though what with it being an open rebellion/war.

Disagree.
I think they probably do have a home base.

I suspect there are some templars who are promage and have helped them.

I hope we get to see the home base and talk to the Collective's leadership.:?

No the collective was not in DA2.
