Execrably Horrid Bulbous Comedy Eyes - er... not as such...
The one deliberate divergence I made from the 3E painting - as distinct from my rubbish abilities just getting stuff wrong - was the eyes. Be fair, those bulging eyes are a bit comedic in the 3E Manual artwork on the inspiration thread. And they looked REALLY silly in-game on the model.
So I arbitrarily changed the look. I retained the freakish bulbous eyes, since I'd already nailed them on, but I altered the texture so they're strange, insectly-weird swirls of nebulous colour now, instead of having blatant, socking great pupils staring rancidly about like a fetid pervert ogling a girls' topless volleyball match.
I think they look much more murky and sinister now.

They still need some fine-tuning and I have yet to add the Queen and Tyin variants, but since Neeshka was kicking the stuffing out of some for combat and shadow testing, I thought I'd post these examples just to assure you I am actually doing them...
(I did try putting emitters on them for dripping, toxic slime, but it just didn't work. The only halfway decent result made them laggy as hell in-game if there were more than three of them in a group and it still didn't really look right. So I gave up on that idea.)
However, I'm fixating upon working on AvD now to the almost total exclusion of everything else, including eating and sleeping and irrelevant nonsense like that. It's therefore unlikely I'll be doing any other Creatures for this month.
I've wanted to do AvD for about eight years, essentially ever since I got NWN, figured out what the Toolset was and instantly attempted to put my Demoness Tales comics on the screen.
I've made several abortive attempts over the years to make the piles of CC for AvD and failed. Miserably. A lot.
Now I've finally cracked it and the results are exciting me like nothing else I've done in NWN before; even all the endless Doctor Who stuff I did wasn't anything like as good, as complex, as ambitious or as detailed as this. Naturally, this rabid enthusiasm is hard to contain.
I will do the Tyin and Disir Queen though. Promise. I'll try to get a Skybox done too. Maybe toward the end of the month I might do something else if I need a break from AvD.
(DAMN shame about Solace - Very sad that so much work went into something that so many of us would love to have fun with and it just ends up malingering in a dusty box somewhere because of Baboon-shaped Spleen lawyers to whom passion, art and enthusiasm are entirely unknown and unknowable concepts.
Still, at least now we know. Thanks for enlightening us, Bannor.)

Alright! Great! How fitting! I'm with you.
I just finished to port and finalize some models of PDubulous' NWN2-Dragonlance Pack #1 for the Dragonlance server project I'm involved in.

Hello Jenna,
the creations mentioned in the download link are NWN2 models (*.mdb) - most of them in a kind of uncomplete stage. I picked out some of them and converted / tweaked / finalized them, so they are usable as NWN1 placeables, which I will send out for the CCC. Some of those models have a very high poly count and may hit the limits of NWN1 (I had crashes with some of the big models). But those, I ported, work nicely.
The teaser is a mixture = not only made of those NWN2-models.
If you have any questions: Just ask.
In addition to the placeables, I'll try to work out a Verminaard / Dragonhighlord helmet, though, I'm not sure, If I manage to do that...
And thanks, CaveGnome.

I had a thought that maybe instead of emitters you could use a danglymesh-type strand of slime on the arms like those slimy scorpions in the CEP. But honestly, these are fine the way they are. Great job, PHoD!

I'll start with the tilesets:
Dargaard Keep

Dragon Mountain and Huma's Tomb:

Tower of Wayreth and a Tower of sorcery

Tower of the Sun

Since these are integrated in different tilesets and it would take ages to sort them out of their HAKs, I decided to extract just the models and according set file entries, so users can add them to their prefered tileset.

Finally dragged myself away from work on AvD long enough to do the Disir Variants...

The Tyin, notable for its long, spiked tail, grey colour, berkish stupidity, antisocial savagery and for being BIG.
Again (more or less) accurate to the 3E artwork.

Given that there's said to be no discernible sexual dimorphism in Disir and precisely NO images of a Disir Queen that I could find - despite how often they're mentioned - I just had to invent one.
Thus she (it) is just a slightly larger version (though smaller than the Tyin) of my standard Disir with a few additional spines, a disgusting, blotchy, reddish colour scheme and double scythe claws, just to show how important she (it) is. Whilst red and yellow in the standard and Tyin variants, the bulbous eyes on the Queen are just white, which makes her (its) appearance yet even more loathsome.
Theoretically, if you're going to be the ruler of a pile of utterly disgusting, rubbery things, you have to be the most nauseating looking one of all, right?
Anyway, apologies for the time they took to appear, but AvD has reduced my workrate on everything else to the close to non-existent level.

Yes, there was stuff in the process of being made by DLA that fit the theme, and everyone laments the fact that it wasn't (and never will be) released. Why not attempt to make your own versions of that stuff?
Don't know how to make placeables or tilesets? Ask. Don't know how to make creatures? Ask. Don't know how to make something happen with a script? Ask. We're helpful around here, and are glad to assist people in expanding their skills at expanding on NWN. If we don't know something ourselves, we can generally point the way to tutorials, or useful threads, or perhaps toward people that know more about a specific type of content.
Or perhaps start a new project around here to collect and compile existing (publicly released) custom content into usuable haks based on specific themes?

This may be just my opinion, but I see the CCC as more of a challenge to create new content or update things, rather than just collect already existing/used content that happens to fit the theme.
You've got a point here, TAD. So I need a GO or NO-GO for those tiles (see my last post). Well, maybe more an opinion of others, if these should be added. Your choice out there.
And, PHOD, those creatures look great!

I've been trying to convince people to make models of them since 2006. It just cool to finally see someone tackle them. You not only did that, you knocked it out of the park!PLUSH HYENA of DOOM wrote...

There's other creatures I'd like to see too, of course. I'm just grateful that someone made at least one of my requests AND did such a great job!

It's added as a placeable; I had to remove shadows because it always crashes the game.

It's based on the oficial DL art:

If the lack of shadows bothers you, you could always put a very simple mesh inside the hull that was roughly the same shape as the hull and set it to "render 0" and "shadow 1".
Then there'd be a basic shadow without the complex geometry of the actual model crashing anything.

Shemsu, those are cool. Have you considered adding as a creature? I can see this being used by the nautical system others have worked on in Spell Jammer. If the ships are also creatures, they can be used in a system in which they move about on the ice, directed by script.
Actually, I hadn't thought in it like a creature. However I think that, it won't be to hard, adding the drow boat animations to it. However, I'm afraid that I'm not familiarized with this "nautical system", or the use of scripts.
Is there anything that I should know in orther to make a "Ice-rider" creature compatible with "The nautical system"
@PHOD:
I hadn't done, something like your suggestion, because the lack of shadows, actually, is not bothering to me. Howeaver let me know if most of you cosiderer it a great disadvantage?

I never use shadows with Area lighting since they mostly look horrible anyway.
Krynn Skybox:- Rubbish Error Incident obliterated the first attempt... Rrrrrrgghh! Am now foaming at the mouth and hitting a replacement version with a big brick.
