It was quite popular on BSN some time ago but still no any info on it...
I hope we will be able to have something like one Dark Brotherhood has in Skyrim.

shrugs.
My Inquisitor won't torture anyone, nor will it be required he/she do so.

What enemies? I'm pretty sure your job is closing/investigating the veil tears, not trying to conquer another country.
It doesn`t matter what you do you will always have enemies as long as what you do is big enough to effect others.
So do not worry you will have a lot of them...

What's the point in torturing them? For the sake of it?

To extract information from captured enemies. But if you want to do it for fun you welcome!

Well maybe once we are done closing the tear in the veil we can conquer countries Muahahahahahahah (yeah ignore what I said) well have you factored that you may capture a high ranking member of the Venatori or someone who is working with the person or people who have torn the veil and you need information but they wont tell you anything, well what do you do ? you torture them till they tell you what you want.

But, what information would those enemies have for closing the veil tears? I'm not against this, but I don't really see why we would need one either.

If they cross into Thedas through a tear, they're here and we can kill them. They will feel pain.
I'm pretty sure burning whatever their essence is would be an adequate torture for them.

Well technically, we only "kill" their physical form, no? And once that's gone, they are merely sent back to the Fade.

What if it's a rage demon.

If we are given the option to torture people, it would probably be more effective anyway to cut to black. Kinda like in Star Wars No. 4. We don't actually see WHAT that weird probe-ball-thing does to Princess Leia, but our imagination is far more effective. Same could be said of sex scenes in video games, I think.

Or a Pride Demon. Their pride would not stand revealing information. They'd rather die.superdeathdealer14 wrote...

And as you said, the more you hurt a Rage Demon, they'll just get angrier and thus stronger.

He just injects her with a needle that has a mind probe nanobot in it. Vader says this later when Tarkin decides to use a different means of torture: blowing up Alderaan.andar91 wrote...
I think that there is a line that Bioware won't cross, and I suspect this lies on the other side of it. At least insofar as an actual room where you torture people (especially shown on screen). There's playing like a jerk...and then there's enabling people to live out some really freaky stuff. It would be like giving the PC the ability to rape an NPC. Is that really necessary or appropriate?

But I agree, there is an ethical line that video games will not cross. They already get enough flak about "turning kids into serial killers, etc, etc" even without crossing that line.

Man, we got some sick people on these forums lol. First they want open executions, now they want a torture chamber, what's next, a sex slave?! My Warrior and Mage inquisitor will not torture anybody. Now my Qunari Inquisitor? Maybe, it he deems to do it.
So you hate sex slaves?! You`re evil monster I knew you want to kill all my sex slaves... shame on you!

Then you tickle the rage demon into giving you the answer. Unless laughing too much still considered a form of pain?

Being polite and stuffing it with ice cream might work too.
