lets not forget you are an inquisitor!!! in a setting of medieval age!!! for the chantry (something like our christian/catholic vatican)!!! of course you will have some part in this torture/confession thing, you are the maker's punishment, you are suposed to be something like the spanish inquisition, or any christian medieval inquisition, you do stuffs like you throw a woman into a lake... if she drowns then she is innocent, and may god have mercy of her soul, if she doesnt drown then she is a witch !! burn her!!! you have no mercy torturing a little children or anyone that u dont like, since all this is just a way to get them to rightfuly confessing they are blood mages and demon sympatizers and all the action is justified in the maker's name!!!
ps: ok im just exalting, the truth is there should be torture options, but doing it or not is up to the player, but to me this is what comes into my mind everytime i see the word inquisitor a sadic, lawful evil fanatic, and that is how am i gonna play my inquisitor....

Very poor choice of yours on your part for the first line. And to answer your question, Bioware has said many times in interviews that the Inquisition will not be linked to the Chantry. In fact, you are kind of in opposition to it in some cases.nyanyagul wrote...

And after the Mass Effect 1 "sex controversy", I don't think Bioware wants that type of coverage again. (I would say stuff it but it isn't my career on the line).

And the Inquisition in Thedas is nothing like our Inquisitions on Earth. In Thedas, they more follow what their name means. They are an organization that inquires on something. In this case, it is the Veil Tears. You will go search for what's causing it, and close them.

I just wonder if Inquisitor will have torture chamber to extract information from captured enemies?
It was quite popular on BSN some time ago but still no any info on it...
I hope we will be able to have something like one Dark Brotherhood has in Skyrim.

I would agree with you but, its a really small group and I think most ofit is sarcastic in nature (i hope, sarcastic never will show up well in text)

I think that there is a line that Bioware won't cross, and I suspect this lies on the other side of it. At least insofar as an actual room where you torture people (especially shown on screen). There's playing like a jerk...and then there's enabling people to live out some really freaky stuff. It would be like giving the PC the ability to rape an NPC. Is that really necessary or appropriate?
If we are given the option to torture people, it would probably be more effective anyway to cut to black. Kinda like in Star Wars No. 4. We don't actually see WHAT that weird probe-ball-thing does to Princess Leia, but our imagination is far more effective. Same could be said of sex scenes in video games, I think.
what about leading torture yourself, but when you do not ask for information but use some torture practice,
it would cut into black, etc then return.Interactivity,Without Trevor Style Torture.
