It's not blood mages.

Am tired of player's bad guesses based on their hopes.
Nothing as easy as blood mages would be to fight.Has to be a God who did it.Not Flemeth or Morrigan. Not blood Mages. Not the warden or hawke.

After watching redemption and looking back at the wiki I am surprised at hhow many artifacts they have that have some type of demon, namely pride, they have sealed or can call forth.
They have the mask of fen'harel which can open the fade and summon something dangerous. Then they have that pride demon sealed in mt. Sunderland that speaks with merrill.
We don't know what each clan know or are capable doing.
1 clan hhavea book about the eluvian, merrills clan have an artifact that can make/fix eluvians, another has the mask of fen'harel. Another clan had a keepee that was hundreds of years old and created the lady of the forest and werewolves.
With them meeting up and the human wolrd in shambles then perhaps this is the perfect time to strike?
Makes some sense since many dalish ruins and clan are spread throughout thedas.
But its just a theory

What if it's the Warden and Morrigan...OMG! I would have to fight him and her...eeek..I would still love it.
Well in a similar fashion I was thinking this might have to do with all the baddies we've all killed from the prior two games. That Behemoth thing looks like Meredith to me returned from the Fade once again.
My money is on the darkspawn since there is a connection with them and the Fade which we don't know about yet. Remember Wynne mentions this in DAO.

And someone, this "agent of chaos," is just exploiting the situation?

And no it's not a rumor, this is confirmed by the devs who said the villian tore the veil and the game informer cover story and various other sources.

After all, WC mysteriously disappeared. Same with Hawke.

Wouldn't it be interesting if it turned out the grey warden did it? Driven insane by the taint, one of the Old gods convinced either the Warden-Commander(As the Warden from DA:O might be dead, but the Warden-Commander is still alive) used the abilites Avernus had researched that he got from the taint, to kill demons. Then WC manged to tear the veil with the help of the research and OG-powers so that the old god that had been trapped in the fade could escape.
The BSN would expolde.

Lol! Beware the danger of pastry. Those danishes will really pack on the pounds.
Joking aside, I don't think the Dalish or any mortal group has the power to tear the veil so badly. The baroness, with the help of a pride demon and the blood of a whole village, was able to make 3 little tears. I would look for an old power like Flemeth but I doubt she's responsible either because I see her as someone who wants to save the world so she can keep living in it, not destroy it. DAI may prove me wrong about anything and everything.
