My first Warden was a rogue, My first Hawke was a Mage, so the pattern says I must pick a warrior. At the moment I'm leaning towards a dwarf warrior, but I might change my mind before Inquisition comes out.
First Char?

Mage has always been my favorite class, in Dragon Age games and all other RPG franchises. Definitely making a Mage for my first character.
My first Warden and Hawke were both mages, I won't break tradition with Inquisition
Can't decide whether I want to make my first Mage a Human or an Elf. I'll decide when I see the racial/specialization bonuses. Eventually, I'll make both so it shouldn't be too hard to decide.

Elf mage definitely first go round.
I always like playing the underdog becomes hero, its a nice kick in the teeth for all those zealots to have someone they have treated like dirt become their hero.

In my "Canon" version of events, my Warden is an elf Rogue and Hawke is a Mage, so I'm going to try out a Warrior Inquisitor. Since they have been unavailable previously, I'm going to use a Qunari.

Still trying to decide between a Qunari mage and a Dwarven warrior.

First character: Female human mage, most likely.
But I intend to try all the options.

My first will probably be a female, elf, rogue--humorous and good, I'm never able to be a jerk (even when I try.). But then, I'm definitely playing through as a Qunari female. I'd like to see how much different the NPCs treat the races, it really gives me a feel for the depth of the in-game world. I'm excited to see what DA team can do with this vast, new world.

I know my first character will most likely be a male elf. Whether he will be a rogue or a warrior is kind of up in the air since, even though I normally prefer to play as a rogue or the equivalent in RPGs, I really liked the warrior gameplay I saw in the gameplay demo video.

Human Female healing Mage or Archer. I haven't decided which to play first.

My first playthrough will probably be a male Human Shield-Warrior with a Paladinesque (not Templar) personality. My first playthrough in DAO was a dual-wielding warrior fighting beside Alistair, but I do like the shield-warrior more...fits my personality.

Dual wielding rogue, most likely human or elf. Tradition for every DA game

I will play as a human mage first. It's my "go to" character. I would like to see a ranged weapons rogue (human or elf). I'm hoping to see some cool skills to master.
