Works great on host. Off host, not so much.

I also never tried so many times to dodge a Phantom like that. Nice show you put on.

Didn't realize it produced such a consistant stagger. May have to play around with that a little more...

Thanks Caineghis.

Ummm ..... not really.  All objects in motion possess momentum.  They only possess force if there is acceleration.

Apparently it's common knowledge around here according to a certain person. Most people know of it's stagger sure but a "consistent" stagger is a different case..

Not really. Force is applied to an object to generate accelleration. An object in motion can transfer its momentum to a static object... as force. Asari dodge does that, but also generates some additional force biotically. You know, space magic.

Unless I missed Asari Dodge Mechanics Awareness Week while I've been away, I'm inclined to think those claiming this is common knowledge are full of crap or have a very strange idea on the definition of 'common.'

I mean... I knew about it... but still...

Nice one! The MP team really did do a crazy job with all the little details. Off-host timing vs. phantoms is a bit tricky though.

Yeah, I'd agree with that.  It's been mentioned, but more as a novelty than part of an actual strategy.  Not that Cain is necessarily doing that here, but he's provided more details than anyone else ever has.

Within the context of 'melee' damage, it would be interesting to see how an SG Omniblade on a melee build would affect the results.  More melee damage usually means greater force during attacks -- it might be lolworthy if you could ragdoll a phantom with a dodge.

Took a quick peak at the Numerical thread and didn't see any specifics on dodge testing.

Cain once again playing the clueless discovery card for attention? Sigh... Come on man, originality isn't THAT hard to find...

Nice im sure new comers to the game will appreciate this. Asari backward dodge also staggers and is a mini melee. I actually never knew this.

I think all dodges are counted as melee? No idea if there are different varibles on this.

I had observed this in game but I didn't know it was this consistent; who the hell dodges into phantoms for fun?

Heavy blade plus Bat Gauntlet dodge all the things match?

There is force when the static object is accelerated to whatever velocity it acquires through the transfer of momentum.  After it reaches a certain velocity, it will continue at that velocity.  There is no further acceleration and hence no further force.  Or if you prefer, force = mass X acceleration.  Acceleration zero, force zero.  Or space magic.

@Koenig888:  Your being overly didactic and narrow in defining "Force" that way.  Forest vs trees, etc.  While you think about that, please push down firmly on your desk with your hand.  Is there force?  Is there acceleration?

I'll try a melee decked out Valkyrie with all dodge on Bronze maybe. Should be interesting to see if there is increased damage with the melee modifying gear and blade.

Four asari swishing their way through a wave would be quite funny.  If you do the bronze/valkyrie match, please post the video.

AF might eat the kills IDK especially if you have four specced for debuff?

Unless you're trolling, I hate to see what you consider not to be common knowledge. There are plenty of people who don't know piercing doesn't work on some guns, the weight glitch, what the power absorption bubble is and how it's triggered, etc.  The large majority of the players dont' come to the forums, and even those don't read all the posts that explain these tiny nuaces.  I've played this game since launch, and have been pretty active on the forums for at least a year and this is new to me.

Yeah, very likely. Minimum AF damage is about 140/sec.  Skip AF for that match, or it might be better to take the Justicar with a dubuffing bubble or the Huntress for the 130% damage boost.
