Hints in The World of Thedas

I'm very excited to play DA:I, and one of the things that really interested me was the reference to "present day" as being the year Dragon 9:40. The book contains descriptions and context of all of the events that have been narrated, in one way or another, and the beginning of the Mage-Templar war is marked as being in Dragon 9:37.
What other sorts of things have folks come across in The World of Thedas book that seem kind of hint-y?

He says alot of thing, but what struck me as very hinty especially now is that he claims his mother says that there wasn't that many mages during her time compared to now. His hypothesis is that it may be due to the lyrium in the water

They confirmed that Alistair was born the same year as Maric, Duncan, and Fiona fought the Architect.

Thanks for this--I must have missed this blog post when it ran. Love that Genitivi is the speaker in this post.
All in all, going through this encyclopedia is really enhancing my playthroughs of DAO (as it will for DA2, when I get there), especially with regard to the elves. There is so much more with them, and so much that I haven't caught, than I came across. The depth of the background for Thedas' elves is absolutely incredible--I never noticed, or comprehended, how profoundly developed they were, even with multiple elf playthroughs of DAO.
I'll need to find an "I SUPPORT A NEW ARLATHAN" forum sig somwhere

speaking of which is there any chance that some of the illustrations are concepts for inquisition as well?
The introductions say that a lot of the art that is in the book is "previously unreleased." A lot of it looks similar to the shots they've been releasing over the course of the past few weeks. I think it's safe to say that this book was published with DA:I in mind.

The more I read...the farther away that "Fall 2014" feels. Maybe I should make flash cards.
