Hi guys! I'm trying to add an extra dungeon to MoTB, but for some reason, I can't get the game to acknowledge the area files at all. My method has been:
1) Make area
2) Extract area files (.trx, .are, .gic, .git, .trn) and waypoint file (.utw) from module directory
3) Dump them in override, use ga_jump_players to transport PC to waypoint
However, it keeps giving me "invalid_object_id". I doublechecked to make sure the waypoint and links were named properly, and I can replace areas like Shadow Mulsantir just fine, so I should have the right files. Is there something obvious that I'm missing?

Take a look at the SoZ holiday expansion, which added areas to Storm of Zehir.

For the MotB Makeover I created a new module and updated the campaign to include the module. I never tried adding an area via override. I didn't realize areas could be added that way. If so, then I wonder if they would work in the campaign folder as well.

Okay, thanks so much for your help! It looks like SoZ HE uses an additional module as well, so I added one, attached it and then used loadmodule, and it worked like a charm.
Unfortunately, adding the area files to the campaign folder didn't work.
I'll have to figure if there's an easy way to make it compatible with other MOTB mods.

Areas need to be in a module file, so not sure how an override would allow that...

The only way I've seen areas work from override is when I load a mod from the toolset. No matter the mod you're working on, it will load the override area. However an area alone won't do I think, it also needs the mod file. Same happens with journal.

I don't think you will be compatible with any other campaigns that add modules, like my MotB Makeover for example. The user would have to edit the campaign.cam file using the toolset if they wanted to use two different additional modules. Not great for users who cannot run the toolset unfortunately.
