Whatever though.

ME is a Gears clone, after all.

Mass Effect 1 was its own. As it was a true RPG. Mass Effect 2 was its own. The only time I feel like I'm playing GoW is the combat in ME3.That mostly because of the running and combat; shooting mostly. But once I get back to the dialogue(and Liara)it reminds me that, this is Mass Effect, not some cheap knock-off.

Hahahaha

Eh, GTA V deserved it more.

Lol GTA5 is a joke. The multiplayer is broken, as rockstar has absolutely no security measures. Multiplayer lacks a purpose as you can get into a server and get billions of dollars without asking. There's not a wide variety of cars. Missions are repetitive. The leveling system is broken, once you get the mini gun and tank you are virtually unstoppable. Campaign is a joke as it lacks a solid plot/storyline.

Still better than Mass Effect.

Also, it's a sandbox game. There is always something to do. B)

Compelling argument.(not) Most mobile phone games are better than gta5. If there's so much to do then why have I sold it for getting absolutely bored with it? Waste of 60$. IMO

Hey, if you couldn't find anything to do in GTAV, then that's not my problem.

It's not. It's ****ty development and poor investment in resources. They've also bailed on 98% of the things they said they were going to do. i.e heists.

Go develope a game and come back when it gets #1 on the most widely known gaming website ever. I was simply congratulating BioWare, as it is an accomplishment.

'Sides, that's another issue I have. This was very unfair. How are you going to call a Trilogy the best game? Might as well compare Mass Effect with Dragon Age, The Witcher, Fallout and the Elder Scrolls series, if you want to be fair, that is.

I think its a bit much to call any Mass Effect (1-3) generic, unless we are going to label 90% of the industry as such.

I kind of already do. Recently, I clicked on an article about the most anticipated games of the next-gen, and the first five games were all shooters that looked the same. The RPGs were a little bit better in that department, but none of the games have done a good job of standing out. If I wasn't a Bioware fan, DAI and TW3 would both look the same to me.

One time I let my fan play ME3. Within the first few hours he pointed out all of the things that game jacked from GoW.

Fair enough. I notice you make an exception for GTA 5 though. ;) As for the Gears/Mass Effect thing I don't really see the problem in taking inspiration from others, Gears didn't exactly invent the wheel they just put there own spin on it. (I'll show myself out).  And I really don't disagree with how you are looking at it, I just try to have a more positive outlook, a lot of the games from the old days kinda sucked in there own right. Very few of them were special, not to different from how things are now.

I like how this doesn't have anything to do with what he said. Stop the overzealous defense.

Only having 1 fallout game in the entire series on X360 and 2 elder scrolls games in the entire series on X360(only skyrim was good). If that's what you mean on fair, you need a revision on that word. DA and The Witcher I've never played.

Yeah, I get what you're sayin'. It wasn't really an insult to say that it's a Gears clone, as I consider Gears to be a pretty decent series. The only issue is that the selection gets bland after a while. That's why I go nuts when something like Mirror's Edge or Child of Eden come out. I really like things that are different. If a dev takes a chance, then they get a lot more leeway from me. That's why I got into Mass Effect so much. ME2 did stuff that I hadn't seen before.

Oblivion + Skyrim makes a pretty formidible opponent.

F3 + FNV makes a pretty formidible opponent.

DA2 sort of screwed up DA's case.

I've never played the Witcher either.

Honestly out of all the series, I'd give the Elder Scrolls the edge.

I have some respect for IGN. Enough to see this list as an accomplishment if that's what you're implying by that comment@mrhouse

Good to know you respect people who outright mock gamers and fanbases while also being well knowen to be paid off to review games with scores it does not deserve.

I haven't had any instances where I've felt 'mocked' and no legitimate proof or any proof at all has been presented to say they get payed off. Also, games can never have a true 'score' as some will like if and some will dislike it.

Same here, hell that's the only reason I bought "Remember Me." A black woman protagonist, so taboo!
