seriously, the internets is chokeful of threads about how "disturbed" everyone is about Subject Zero. This is a little too telling to not be embarrasing. I for one really LOVE that characterdesign, seriously, it doesn't mean that i would humb her in RL (but i'm not even sure about that), but for a GAMECHARACTER she is quite unique and badass, it puzzles me that everyone and their mother seem to hate her. There's already enough ****** and asses in that game to please the adolescent, we need something to counterbalance that. And i really love the overall characterdesign so far, just "Grunt" seems a little to obvious to me.

Subject Zero isn't disturbing people because she's a 'strong woman' she's disturbing people because she has the psychology of a beaten dog.

And no, she's not unique, she's 'edgey' now if you go back to the 90s you'll find a lot of 'edgy' characters in comic books. Frankly, the intelligent people are tired of them. Dark =/= Good or Interesting

((Not to say dark characters can't be those things.))

No, they are the ones that tend to be boring and cliche. Hoping that Zaeed isn't though.

I think strong women only scare people who are insecure about themselves. Bioware has many great, strong women in their games that I respect and think are amazing. Plus I have no problem playing as a male or female Shep in ME or a man or woman in Dragon Age.



As far as Subject Zero goes, we all know who's the badass biotic.

I agree. Look at all the walking steroid/testosterone filled space marines who also swear and have tattoos that people think are cool. This leads me to believe that if Subject Zero were a man, people would think she's badass instead of being "disturbed." Gaming is a predominantly male audience, and it shows.
