SuZe? No interest what so ever. Chances are I'll completley sideline her if it's possible (just like I did with most characters in DAO) because she doesn't interest me. It's not the Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta look, it's not the nipple straps nor the tats. It's the fact she just doesn't seem that interesting. If she was a real woman I wouldn't be attracted to her at all.
She doesn't come across as a strong woman unless it's in regard to her biotics. Just watched the trailer for her again, and I see no positives. She's arrogant, cocky, headstrong, full of herself, rude and looks like she'll be a royal PITA, maybe doubly so if you're paragon.
someone was a boy/girl scout growing up I take? Dead give away with that last sentense. Seriously though Im not hating, or not diliberately anyway. Different people like different things I suppose. For me it's being able to relate to the character(s) as to whether or not I like them. And seeing as how I can relate to SuZe in a few ways, I actually respect her.
No, I wasn't.

So, the question is about Subject Zero. I look forward to using her, and I am a gamer, a woman, and I consider myself strong.

I sure don't hope so with such a man-like voice.

The character is simple, but so are a lot of Bioware's characters and stories are simple. Anybody who says otherwise is a moron. Bioware's characters and story are not engaging because they're COMPLEX, they're engaging and entertaining because they take something simple and execute it very well.
Dude, are you seriously taking this to town? I could write a ten page paper analyzing the complexity of MANY Bioware characters. Just because you don't ever dig beyond what's on the surface doesn't mean there ain't anything there. I have yet to get to the bottom of figuring out some Bioware characters. Now the plot point I'll actually give you. Most Bioware games are structured on that whole "fetch thus-and-such from four different areas" thing, but it's still very well done.

Well lets just sit down and think about this, A woman who is covered in
tattoos, Aggressive piercings, and a need to show off too much skin,
These
are obvious signs of very tramatic childhoods, and So far it seems she
was a test subject for god knows what kind of horrible tests, and You
think she just comes out of all these test as a strong person? It
Doesn't it just makes messed up people who handle things the wrong way,
with sex, crazy attitudes and Choatic relationships.
Im sure we will see how choatic and messed up she is, during the game.
These
kind of people are made through rape, beatings, losing parents,
mentally abusive parents, neglectful parents and ritualistic torture.
If this is supposed to be a comment on real women who prefer to have tattoos, piercing and bald heads, then you don't know what the **** you're talking about, pardon my french. I know that this is a rare sight in Iowa but that doesn't mean that every woman who has tattoos is "disturbed". People have different tastes, sexual preferences or just plain different views on life. You don't have to be "tortured and raped" as a child to like extensive tattooing and piercings, believe me.
Nobody's saying what your preferences are, but for the vast majority of human beings, we tend to avoid people covered in tattoos and piercings, moreso if said person is a woman with a shaved head. In SuZe's case, she was also a former gang member who was in prison for years and is mentally unstable, which gives people a good reason to assume they won't like the character.

Not sure if that's true, but if it is, that really just shows that people are still basically tribal and have irrational fears about people who are different from them.

It is what it is...just because you call me "sexist" for it doesnt make me change my stance. And yes, it is a broad generalization or "stereotype" as some might call it...
Since you set me up. I don't make broad generalizations, I make generalizations about broads.

Actually, for starters...She hates dresses...Secondly...If she wears something and it looks like crap on her, I tell her...and heres the amazing thing...She RESPECTS ME for it....wow...
But seriously though. Im allowed to stereotype just like you're allowed to judge me for stereotyping....But seeing as how you lack any real knowledge of knowing me, your own words come back to bite in you the arse so to speak.
Well, it is impressive how you missed the point, I suppose. You can nitpick over details all you want to try to avoid addressing the concept, but an example is simply one scenario. You honestly can't think of a single situation where saying something insulting would result in a negative reaction even if it wasn't true?
And of course you're allowed to stereotype, but being allowed to do it doesn't validate it at all. Stereotyping a gender, whether male or female, is sexist, by virtue of definition. Knowing anything more about you wouldn't change that, that's all the knowledge that is required for such an assessment.
However, I am curious how you think I'm judging you without proper knowledge, when you judged our entire gender. By your own standards, this must mean you personally know every male alive. Quite the feat.

And her kind of kinda of mental issues usually go hand-in-hand with some kind of crippling weakness that they're trying to cover up.
Ashley and Miranda are better examples of "strong women", but I think both of them could be taken down from that list for some fairly serious perosnal issues (Ashley for being a racist $%^&*, and Miranda for being a subserviant, racist sociopath.)

Its part of how we survive how we avoid conflict.
IF a popular gang started to wear a black spot on their cheek then a bunch of normal people copied i think its safe to avoid those people and to assume they are bad.WHY?Because it lessens the chances of trouble for you.If people started to walk around with guns everyfay where i live i would assume that the chances of someone shooting it are about 10% and if i let them notice me 13% if i ****** them off 30%...Avoiding people who on purpose make themselves to be dangerous or part of something close to it is fine by me.The only wrong thing is to act on the chance of them hurting you so you hurt them first or something like that.I find i have no problem people judging me and me judging others.WHy? Its human nature to judge its helps us survive and better our lives*is our judgements always correct?no*
We havent evolved enough as a species to abandon these things.
Well thats what i think.
