I haven't played in about three months, and I am curious about how well the MP is faring. Are the lobbies generally clean, as in no hacking or exploits? Is it easy to find a match? How is the lag? And are the pugs any good?

So I play very regularly with some friends, and while mic use is down, making it more difficult to meet people to play with regularly, I never have trouble amassing a full party of four, be it as host or as quick-match joiner. I had the day off yesterday due to weather and I played all day--and never once struggled in any regard. Even cleared a couple Golds with PUGs.

The other day, for the first time in months, I reported a guy for missile glitching. That's the first time I've done that in six months. Other than that, aside from the occasional "Waiting for other players" screen or a bug here or there, the MP is still the best out there IMHO.

1) Depends on difficulty. I tried to run 1 Platinum PUG (I was host) and had someone trying to missile glitch join. I tried to kick, but the other person that was in the lobby wouldn't and just left.

2) Quick match still seemed pretty quick, but since I prefer U/U instead of a preset it takes me a bit longer since I just host instead usually.

3) The few games I have joined and stuck around in the lag seemed fine to me. I may have just been pretty lucky.

4) Hit and miss. Some PUGs are fairly good (I would dare say most of them tend to be from BSN though) and the others are just awful.

It sounds like it's pretty much how I left it. Good.

Thanks for answering my questions. :)

Nah, man. EA let the janitor go in March of last year, so the place is filthy.

It's fine, I'll scrub it out.

It's easy to find Gold games still, though the quality of players ranges from brand new guys to BSNers with no in-between.

Platinum pugs are the same, but it takes longer to fill lobbies most of the time.

Don't worry there is already plenty of scrubbing going on.

Yep. Break out your backpack or your lawn chair, depending on the pug lottery.

I find gold games easy. Lots of pugs there. That was the bad part about the last update. They gave out that gift pack for reckoning characters and pugs get a warlord or something, they slap a katana on it and jump into a gold match. Then they get carried and think they're good.

Add me if you want to play gold sometime

Filling Platinum lobbies with players is difficult, filling Platinum
lobbies with people that are actually suited to playing Platinum
is a lot more so. Gold is still pretty easy to find games and
relatively skilled players as well, so you'll probably have a lot
more success there.

pretty good I'd say. easy to find silver, gold and bronze matches. I don't know about platinum since it scares me. player skill is decent, in my opinion.

I haven't been able extract on a Gold match with pugs since I started playing regularly again.

The PUGs are still the same based on my first day back playing MP. You either have good/great players who make the games more relaxing, or inexperienced/terrible players who you must carry in order to win.

I also need the satisfaction of being top on the scoreboard. That's too hard when you're grenade spamming and missling spawns with AC equipped.

I regularly play Gold, and would be happy to group up for some matches.

Hahahaha...where to begin...

The game has been dead for a very long time now. If you're playing gold, you'll mostly find new players. Be prepared to solo entire games on your own, don't expect your teammates to help you out with anything at all.

If you're playing platinum, you'll mostly find missile glitchers and ultra noobs. It's extremely rare to find decent players on platinum who can actually play platinum. If you can't comfortably solo platinum, don't bother playing with randoms. If you are able to solo platinum, your games will last for 40 to 50 minutes and your teammates will end up with a combined score of less than 100k.

There are only 2 options that I would recommend: either find some decent players and add them to your friends list, or you can just solo. Don't even bother playing with randoms.

So, it's like it has always been, no?

I played this afternoon for the first time since getting an Xbox One (last week of November).

Initially I thought I would warm up with a Silver match but the lobby never had more than 2 people in it (including me), so eventually I decided on any difficulty and got thrown into a Plat game in progress. I wasn't equipped for Plat but hey ho there were 4 in the team.

So I reckon the 360 player base has gone downhill rapidly since the last week of November when I used to find silver and gold lobbies filled up rapidly.
Also after clawing my way into the Challenge Points top 1% I am very surprised that after a six week break I am still in the 1%.
