hello. I have played this game for 3 years and I cant get tired of it. can any one tell me about the locked book case at the chantry in lotherin? I try talking to everybody in there but cant find who has the key. a had use lockpick and does not work.

You talk to Ser What's-His-Name in the Chantry. You tell him you've either run off or killed the bandits you met on your way into Lothering and he gives you 50 silver. You ask him if there's any other help he can give you and he coughs up the key to the cabinet. Inside you'll find 20 gold pieces and a +5 to all attributes ring! Woo hoo! Just kidding. You get a health potion or two, maybe an injury kit if you're lucky.

The main item inside the case was one of the pieces of the Ancient Elven Armor set-i think it's the Boots.

Tell Ser Bryant you are a Grey Warden when you first speak to him and then ask if he'll help you. You'll find Ancient Elven Boots in the cabinet. If you're playing the PC version, I think there's a bug and the boots may not appear: you need a mod or use the console
