Most underrated weapon for you.

I have to put up the Arc Pistol as my #1. It wrecks absolutely everything on any kit, yet I don't think I've ever seen a random with it, and a fair number of BSNers use it only sparingly. The CSR with Incendiary Ammo also will melt basically anything when fired like a Mattock.

Everybody has one. What's that weapon that, when you pick it up, go 'Why don't more people use this?', and why?

I use Arc Pistol every time I play.
CSR with incen ammo is certified cheese as well.

Yep, don't know why OP considers it 'under rated' Mine would be the N7 ValkryieTokenusername wrote...
What are you taking about? Most of BSN considers the Arc pistol to be seconded only to the Talon.

It used to be trash, but after a bunch of buffs it's become a vicious little thing, with a great weight-effectiveness ratio.
I don't use it as a primary, but it's great as a back-up.
Obviously the hurricane's better as a lightweight back-up, but that's more a case of the hurricane being awesome than the eagle being bad.

BSN is a very small portion of the player base. BSN's opinons aren't always reflected in the playerbase as a whole, and vice versa.TheJimMan wrote...
I see the Arc Pistol threads, yes, but I very very rarely actually see anybody use it. Though that IS on PS3...

A wild generalization appeared.

I understand why people don't use it if they have any of the UR SMGs, but it has much, much crappier reputation than it deserves. It has great accuracy and it outdamages all of the rare assault rifles except Revenant - you just need to be able to handle that recoil.

So, that's mine. I use it to kill basically everything except for Praetorians. It can get reeeeeally tedious taking those out with it, so if I PUG with my Turian Sentinel, I take my Hurricane X to deal with them should I fall into a Collector match. But otherwise, I'll leave my Hurricane in its holster and use my Mattock to kill All The Things. Largely with fire explosions, too, but Mattock is a good dang gun if you have a fast and durable trigger finger.

"Assault rifle" with a scope where you can use sniper rifle rail amps (I have those a lot). Yeah you get hipfire penalty if you don't scope but I always scope.

Mattock is widely considered to be the best uncommon, but is strenuous under extended use. It clear how good the Mattock is by seeing that removing its primary weakness created the Harrier, which a lot consider the best AR period. Then again by that same logic, why use the Mattock when you have the Harrier for any other sake than to claim variety.DragonRacer wrote...
While everyone claims they believe the Mattock is a good gun, I basically never see anybody use it - PUGS or BSNers - save for me.

There are some kits where I run the Harrier, yes.
I really can't explain the why or the how, but I do prefer the Mattock on my Turian Sentinel and a few other kits. But mostly the former. I have run a Harrier on my TSent before, but went back to the Mattock.
Not for the sake of claiming variety. Just feels better to me (which is totally subjective, I know) and I ****** through less ammo with the Mattock.

Lower weight (especially when comparing mattock X vs harrier I), better ammo reserves, ability to control recoil and ammo consumption by varying the RoF manually.Tokenusername wrote...

If only it didn't cause finger cramps if used for more than 2 games in succession...

I used it almost all the time before the challenge system came in. Since then it and the Saber are the only assault rifles that have contributed to every Assault Rifle Mastery that I've earned. I suppose that despite this in a way I don't actually use it that much anymore, partially because it's so easy to complete its challenge.

I use this build on Platinum and I am capable of topping the scoreboard (not trying to show off, just showing that this build is viable and highly effective thanks to the N7 Valiant)
