3 with some good US players and 1 with a group of hardcore Germans who included a husky voiced fraulein!

Tons of newbs showing up in Gold PC lobbies expecting to be carried. Rarely an instance when a quick match search takes more than 10 seconds. Same old same old.

Definitely.  My buddy and I played for a few hours last night and had zero difficulty finding people to round out a lobby set for Cerb/FBG/Gold.  Extracted every time, and had a riot.

Seems plenty active to me. No problem finding lobbies 90% of the time.

I am not sure how software is alive with out being an AI (which multiplayer clearly is not, for it is not Geth).

I wouldn't say dead, but its barely hanging on. The player base is very small at this point and the players who do play are either very experienced and really good, or brand new and not very good. As someone else said if you play random games, expect to carry on Gold & Platinum because you'd be hard pressed to bump into good players there.

When I open up a gold or platinum game at a reasonable time of the day (PC, europe) it takes less then 3 minutes to get it full with acceptable people.
Don't know what that says about total player counts, but it's more than alive enough for me :-D

I'm on xbox but it's about the same to me too. No problems getting lobbies and I don't normally see the same people while pugging. I'm sure the player base isn't huge but I don't think it's on life support either.

For me (PC player) it is the same as it was 8 months ago. I still have 15-20 people online/in-game at almost any given time. Just need to 'refresh' my Origin list every couple of weeks to keep it active.
Finding games at Gold or below is a matter of second. And about 1/3 of the pugs I see have a two-digit N7 rank, which means we got lots of newcomers.

I picked up the trilogy a year ago and just started playing ME3 MP a few months back. I'm still at the Bronze/Silver stage, but never have a problem finding a game. I did get extracted from a Gold game once, but think it was being carted out over someone's shoulder - guess I still need a bit more practice!

No. It's dead, this forum is dead, I didn't make this post and you didn't post this topic - because no one cares enough about MP to visit the forum. In fact, the forum is closed. Which I assume must be the reason you've created the (approximately) 235th topic asking if MP is dead instead of using the search bar to find one of those other 234 posts.

My advice: GET A HOBBY.

Not that many, as far as I can tell. Also we don't know if OP is on PC.
Nevertheless, refreshing friends list by excluding renegades and adding active players is highly advisable.
