What sort of gear would you use to maximize elemental damage for all elements. I know it's 30% cap for Origins and 50% for Awakenings. I can guess some of it:
Elementalist Grasp-5-10% for all
Elemental Amulet-5% for all
Elemental Mastery-sustained +15% in Awakenings.
I'm just wondering what other gear would maximize damage. I normally only get the spells for Storm of Century, but may pick up more spells this time around
Elemental damage gear to reach cap

In origins, there are the staff boni and the element specific gloves, eg. Black Hand Gauntlets for Spirit. In Awakening, we have again staves, gloves and lots of rings, Icicle for instance. Some of the rings surpasses the cap on their own, and then some.

There are gloves that give +20% for each specific element and rings for +10%. Plus different staves have different bonuses, and morrigan's robes give +10 or +20 to cold damage. PC or Wynne can get +30% to one element pretty easily, as well as another +30% or so spread over 2-3 others. Morrigan can get +30% to two different elements (one has to be frost though) thanks to her robes. In general I'd say it's better to focus your gear on 1-2 elements (particularly spirit, as a lot more spells do spirit damage than any other type) and have them as your most potent.
In Awakening everything goes out the window thanks to the super overpowered gear. Dreamsever and staff of the lost will cap you for spirit on their own. Add gloves like oven mitts and elemental mastery and you're at 50% for spirit and 45% for fire and cold. Nature isn't worth bumping up, electricity you can get to +30% with silver cog and elemental mastery. With all of that said, silver cog isn't worth the item slot, and elemental mastery usually isn't worth the sustain either. And in truth the best offensive spells are from keeper and do physical damage anyway.

Ok, I did finally figure out how to reach the 50% cap in Awakenings, but I was a bit disappointed that you don't find many items that have + elemental damage. After Dain's post I'm not sure it will be worth it to get it with all elements, but I'll list below the Gear and Specs you need if you want to follow that path.
15% all-Elementary Mastery-Sustained-Battlemage
15% all-3 Amplification Runes-Arcane Warrior + armor with 3 rune slots
5% all-Amulet of War Mage
10% 2 elements-pick either Malign Staff, Staff of Magister Lords, or Wilhelm Magus Staff. All have 10% elemental damage with 2 elements.
Pick 2 rings with 10% elemental damage,2 that aren't on your staff
Elementalist's Grasp-5% all/10%all. You don't get the 10% version until late in Awakenings.
That should get you to 50% with all elements but nature, which will be 40% or 45%, depending on the elementalist gloves you have. Add in the Earthen Cinch which will give 5% nature damage, the only belt that gives elemental damage.
I was really a bit disappointed that Awakening didn't have more items with multiple elemental damage. They do increase the elemental damage on staffs and other items, but it's all one element. You'd definitely want to bring over your Origins staffs and rings if you want to go down the Elementalist road.
EDIT-I missed some of the elemental damage ring sets that are in Awakening, like Icicle and Ash. That might work over the 5%/10% individual rings, if you can find the proper elements on staffs and gloves to complement them. The same applies with the other items like Oven Mitts that have significant damage in two elements.Feel free to substitute other such items if it fits your character.
