Might I interject my experience with Frozen here?
I loved Tangled a ton, I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed myself immensely. But Frozen, Frozen moved me. I shed tears each time I watch that film. Manly tears of feelers, but by the gods, TEARS! I'm not entirely certain I have ever loved a movie as much as I do this one. I mean, I have Elsa as my lock screen background and Anna as my regular background on my friggin' phone! What kind of grown ass man has girly Disney princesses on his mother-lovin' phone?!
I've seen it 3 times so far. Once with the roommates, once with a few female coworkers and once with the lady. I'm trying to figure out who else I know that might want to see it so I can go a fourth time without feeling like a creepy lonely dude going to see a girly family movie.
Seriously though, I love absolutely everything about Frozen, the characters, the pacing, the relationship between the sisters, the music, the art, the TWIST. Oh man, that twist blew me the f*** away! I was in the theater and turned to my roommates, my chin dragging on the dirty theater floor. I was not expecting Disney to throw that at me, at all. Damn Frozen is so good!
Ugh, I want to see it again!
Indeed, Frozen's a brutal film. Like many of Disney's, come to think of it. But this is by far the worst. It took extreme effort, but I managed to avoid shedding tears, if only to keep up appearances. When the DVD's out, I'll have no such problem, and I'll probably just melt away... or something.
And I'd love to see it again too, but the cinema's so damn expensive... luckily the DVD's released very soon (March), so I can wait.

I don't know anything about this movie so could someone explain why one sister has ice powers and the other doesn't?. Does the other sister have fire powers but its dormant until someone she loves is in danger and her full power is unleashed or something?
The powers origins are only briefly touched upon by my memory, it was claimed she was simply born with them. And as for Anna, I had assumed what you've mentioned there, but she's ordinary. In a good way.

That sisterly connection

Nah. The two girls have little more than each other growing up, they're just close.
Besides, its not that you should be worried about. If my experiences with ME and RWBY have taught me anything, you just know that there'll be some crazy fan fiction out there that actually is problematic, just waiting for someone to have the misfortune to stumble upon it.

You=Me. hah
I might see it in 3D for the first time tomorrow, that would be my third viewing of the film in total.

Nah, its actually not explained. Basically, Elsa(the eldest of the two) was born with cryokinetic power, but Anna(the younger of the two) was born completely normal like anyone else.

Don't worry about it, the artist said that the two are just going to sleep. Goodnight kisses are a thing, after all. Plus, they're sisters and they're little, c'mooon.

At the end of the movie I was close to tears because in this moment I really missed my sister (she lives quite far away and I only see her about 3 times in the year).
Although I must confess that I facepalmed myself in that "Love is an open door"- scene because I thought that this movie will be overly girly and fairy taly again but I was really surprised in the end and happy that no man was needed for the happy ending but that love between siblings can also be considered as true love.
PS.: the german versions of the songs are also very good like "Let it go" www.youtube.com/watch

lol there's many a parody of 'let it go' around too, some are actually pretty funny.
Probably shouldn't post them though, they contain swears

From the Frozen Thread:
"Didn't previously bother with it since I assumed it was directed generally for younger audiences, girls in particular. But people on the internet have changed my mind, so gonna go watch it tomorrow and see if it really is as good as people claim it is. I truly hope so."
Same idea. Gives you the impression its for little girls, but then you actually dig in and realize its way deeper than that and for anyone to enjoy.

Fans are making artwork and posting it online. HD GIFS are coming from an HD torrent or something running around right now, though there are those of us who'd rather wait for the Blu-Rays and DVDs. Just means there will be a resurgence in March of love for Frozen.
But yeah, there's quite a bit of art already. I wouldn't say a ton since the Frozen fandom is new, it certainly pales in comparison to fandoms like RWBY and MLP, but it'll grow.
