So apparently there is a fringe of social justice fanatics who are decrying this film for being racist, and a whitewashing of native "Sami" people of Scandinavia by making the characters mostly Caucasian. (Faceplam here).

To facilitate and demonstrate their outrage, they have taken to racebending the characters in artwork to ones they would be more agreeable towards (Facepalm here).

This was the source of my complaint the other night about social justice warriors in my vidya. 

Look, in their world, you can't be white if you've suffered oppression of some kind (which the Sami historically have), and they've honestly convinced themselves that the Sami, who are from the far northern reaches of Fennoscandia, are "POC" - mostly on the basis of grainy and very old black-and-white pictures. 

I've literally seen one person on tumblr say "Just because you're white, doesn't mean you're not a POC". 

They're only slightly more ridiculous than the people that have decided to claim Elsa as queer, but at least those have mostly got a live and let live attitude.

Having seen that video, I now know the book contains more concept Elsa and her evil and sassy ways. Accordingly, the book is now definitely worth a purchase.

I just have a few of the tracks ever ready in youtube repeat. I can listen to one for hours before realising I should probably swap it out for another.

It was $7.99 for a while but I missed that sale and it went back up to its normal $11.99.

I think I might wait for another sale just in case.

And then of course there's the deluxe soundtrack with demos and outakes... not sure what to make of that.

The Deluxe has the soundtrack and score that makes up the regular version, but includes songs they cut from the movie, early versions of the songs that did make the movie, demos of tracks from the score and soundtrack, and instrumentals for those that want to sing along.

I've already listened to some of the songs enough to be able to sing some bits of it. Will take more work to fully get them, and I gotta change some lyrics here and there for gender purposes. hahaha

Well you can always swap out Queen for Prince in 'let it go'.

I actually replace Queen with King for the sake of the rhyme, even though I'm not technically a King(and won't be for quite some time).

I'd use Prince if the lyric went, "A principality of isolation," but c'mon that just sounds stupid.
