Clones post reminded me I still need to watch the Princess and the frog.. I fear my standards may be a bit too high after Frozen, but will see.

Its gonna be hard as hell for them to follow Frozen up, seriously.
Well, they seem to be getting the hang of the Pixar formula, so I think its possible. But will see.
VIsually I think it will be hard to top, the movie had some great style to it. The icy setting is very aesthetically pleasing on its own.
Story and music wise I think Disney is more then capable of matching Frozen. The music was GOOD, but as this page goes to show, Disney already has a much higher standard for the soundtrack. Hell, could you imagine Frozen, except with a half decent antagonist? That would be a 10/10 in my books.
(also no Olaf...)
It didn't need a half decent antagonist. Its great that it went off the trend Disney normally goes with. And Olaf was fantastic so...

I guess. Disney has had great villains that are really well thought out, as well as some straightforward evil ones that were memorable and badass. Hans was neither, the best thing I can say about him was that he was so forgettable that it emphasized Elsa and her problems a bit more, which I don't think is completely a bad thing (after all, she was the best thing in the entire movie)
As for Olaf, I see him as nothing more then merchandising. May I ask what you feel makes him fantastic? I really don't think completely removing his character would have had any negative impact on the story. He had some funny lines, but I never saw his humor as being that necessary to the story.
I should note that I'm not a huge fan of the Disney mascot characters overall, but Olaf in particular rubbed me the wrong way.
What I find surprising is the fact the some theaters still show the movie even though it is out on blu-ray.
Its not in my local theatre anymore, but in a neighboring city it STILL has several showings a day
hahaha

It's alright. I wouldn't say it's one of their best, but it's an enjoyable film that has KEITH DAVID as the villain.
I mean my god there are other movies coming out soon like (goes online to sees TMNT trailer)..... on second thought keep Frozen. Its not in my local theatre anymore, but in a neighboring city it STILL has several showings a day
hahaha
MOAR SHOWINGS

And things I wouldn't want from a Frozen sequel: *Snip*

That guy. Priceless.
Though that's not the first time I've heard that sort of sentiment. That soundtracks shouldn't be considered for such charts.
Strange people.
He is the living embodiment of a mad bro

Olaf is different in a way that may not be obvious - he's the personification of Anna and Elsa's childhood innocence and affection. "Hi, I'm Olaf! And I like warm hugs!" This is the first thing he says when he's created, and the first thing he says when he greets Anna - it's what the sisters imagined when they made him up as girls. He also echos Anna's "The sky's awake..." So in a way, he is the best of both of them.
He also approaches the world in childlike wonder, greeting each new experience with joy and each new person as a friend until experience proves otherwise. And, he is absolutely devoted to Anna. (How could you not like that?)

Psh, Anna did not need any more devotion.
That aside, I like what you said about him being a personification of their innocence, makes sense and its a good way to look at his character. I would have still preferred him out of the movie, since I really don't like his characters execution, but from that context I can understand he has some value.
Thanks for the response, and thanks for not saying something along the lines of "because he was funny"

'Sir', SHE is a PRINCESS!!!
Anna is based largely on Kristen Bell. This means maximum adorkability. It's hard to imagine there being enough devotion for her.

Yeah, not my thing, you see I'm more of an Elsa fan. She's smart, cool, and caring, well still discovering her own way.
I do like Kristen Bell for the most part, shes pretty cool.
opps, I meant to type Elsa
lol my bad
Just heard that Frozen is now the highest grossing animated film of all time and is now one of the Top 10 highest grossing films of all time. That's very impressive. I need to see this film a.s.a.p.
