I just saw this movie for the first time yesterday.
Honestly, I didn't like it all that much. It was an all right movie overall, but I don't think it lived up to the massive over the top hype I've been seeing for it.
Legit movie plot discussion and spoilers to follow:
As I was saying before, the movie wasn't bad. I may have a lot of minor problems with it, but overall it was enjoyable. I just don't see it living up to the massive hype by any means. Perhaps this is in part due to the fact I'm not a child, nor a girl, but it just doesn't seem like super A+ "gotta see it or you're missing out" material.
*spoiler criticisms*
To the first point- Its an animated movie in a fictional universe, it gets a pass

People expect too much realism in a world with talking snowmen, frost atronachs, and trolls that look like rocks

Fair play, Though I'll agree that criticising things such as the films concept of physics is a little nonsensical given what else the film's about.
The rise continues. Meanwhile, still waiting for the much farther out musical on Broadway.

Since this is a topic I'd already mentioned before in Second-Cousin-Twice-Removed Show MLP, I won't go too far in the subject, but it depends on the universe you're working with. Take musical numbers, for example. Frozen is chock-full of them, and they're essentially stretching reality for the sake of entertainment. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does come at a cost of realism/immersion, so some people are going to be put off by this.People expect too much realism in a world with talking snowmen, frost atronachs, and trolls that look like rocks
>Ice makes everything brittle in the movie

Saying it's a animated movie in a fictional universe is a very poor argument.
I'm not gonna knock Space Jam because Michael Jordan's arm got super long for that game winning dunk. If that gets a pass, so does this.
Speaking of, oldie but goodie inbound
So Frozen was on the news this morning. The whole highest grossing animated film thing and all.
I thought it was as good a time as any and pointed out to the family that it was now the 10th highest grossing film too, meaning it had surpassed both Hobbit films.
The response?
'Hmmm, yes, but you won't see many children going to watch The Hobbit, will you?'
There was much smirking and eyebrow raising.

Am now imagining Blisk singing Let It Go
Such sweet serenading
Blisk is not one to Let It Go tho
Still humorous to postulate
Great. Now I'll expect him to break out into a 'life's too short' style duet with Graves in the last mission.
You kill me,
you're better!
I kill you,
I'm better!

Meh, I've heard better SlamJam remixes. Aside from the videos amusing effects, the overall mixing leaves little to be desired.
But then again, when you've heard the pinnacle of these remixes...
The songs compliment themselves better here.
...So that Frozen movie has made some significant change I can see.

Y'know, I complained about all the hate Hans used to get, but lets not overdo it folks. The guy did try to ice most of the cast, remember?
I kind of have to ask now, who here actually likes Hans, even with his douchebaggery?
I'm actually quite fond of him despite it. The fandom's made some pretty interesting headcannon fuel for why he is the way he is, so maybe that's why I still like him.
Hans is bottom
@EarthboundN
If you think about it he's pretty clever up until he blows the only thing he had going for him halfway through the movie.
