Another fun fact-
A single frame of Frozen took 30 hours to render.
People critizing the movie for having two clipping errors need to be reminded of this fact.

Ice to meet you, Barbara. So I saw the trailer. The whole celtic-ish vibe reminds me of Disney/Pixar's Brave and/or DW's How to Train Your Dragon. The Snowman's dialogue is a bit...yeah. Besides the melting line, I'm not quite feeling him. Graphically looks top-notch.Aaaand I just unintentionally punned. Thanks Barbara.
Regarding Darth's spoiler bit, it's good to know. I personally think between Brave, Wreck-It-Ralph, Frozen, and everything else in their recent library, another "renaissance" may be launching.
Spoilers Brave also didn't bother with a classical bad guy/girl/etc, but glad they're trying to take steps away from older tropes.

Disney's taking the ****** out of themselves, which I think is brilliant on their part.

Large amount of adults went to see it, though kids were in attendance as well.

I liked it and a lot of the humor it did. Seemed well paced, and used appropriately, and I liked that

There was no real villain or evil anything to fight until the end of the movie. It was a misunderstanding that caused all of this, coupled with past events which we see cumulate. It is rare, especially in a disney film, for there to be no obvious bad guy, and I felt this movie pulled it off well. The twist of boyfriend prince being a manipulative and not so charming guy were hinted at subtlety, perhaps too much so to the point it might come off as a asspull to some, but I loved that disney dared to go after their own formulas and basically criticize their bread and butter in a way that didn't beat you over the head with it.

Twas truly an excellent film worth remembering for some time to come. It is also about time to, since dreamworks has been, for a while, dominating the genre of animated general audience films in terms of quality and writing, kung fu panda and how to train your dragon coming to mind. This will definitely be joining those titles as top favorite animated films.
I commented in my statuses here after I went and saw it with my GF that Hans was basically playing Crusader Kings 2 the whole time. And the trolls knew it, too ("get the fiance out of the way and the whole thing will be fixed"). Honestly, a lot of the movie subverts some standard Disney tropes - Sven is animated like an actual animal for the most part, "For The First Time In Forever" has lines you'd never expect from a Disney "I Want" song, and the love song actually doubles as a villain song, which the movie otherwise doesn't contain, although of course you don't realize that until after the fact.
Definitely a worthwhile follow-up to Wreck It Ralph in the Disney canon (I've never seen Tangled so I can't comment on that).
Also Anna is best princess.

Frozen actively makes fun of the Disney stereotype of the girls falling in love with Prince Charming and getting married immediately.
That was why I guessed that Hans was evil from close to the beginning.
Nobody falls in love that fast in a Disney movie. They've got to go through problems and shiz. Elsa was also playing CK2, she knew she needed a marriage alliance to maintain her throne.
Though you have to wonder how she'll react to Kristoff, who Anna has of course known for a whole two days instead of one.

It is, of course, based on a Hans Christian Anderson (who is Danish) fairy tale, and set in psuedo-Norway. So Vikings abound.
As for Olaf, trust me, he's one of the best parts of the movie.

So note- I'll be dancing around the subject. There will be much fan art, none of which made by me posted in this thread, much like the MLP and RWBY threads.

Without a doubt. At no point did I find him annoying, and no one I asked felt he was tacked on or annoying. Everyone enjoyed him.
Especially his solo, which is par for the course when Disney decides to be deceptively dark.

Well, I was basing that off of about 20 seconds of footage. I'll have to see the movie to know how it turned out.As for Olaf, trust me, he's one of the best parts of the movie.
Looking at those hairstyles, "Ice Dragon" immediately comes to mind looking at Elsa. Gaaah, so awesome
Best I could come up with. (Edit: I'll save you the time, LP)

Everyone is hooked on Let It Go.
Took my mom to the theatre to see Frozen and she came home, found the song on youtube, and listened to it independantly herself a few times.
