I saw similar things on tumblr.
As I have not seen it, nor do I know much of the original story it is loosely based off of, all I can say is "meh...". So... meh...

Havent looked through it. People just keep recommending it. Also Prince won't stop plugging the film and this thread on the Critically Acclaimed RWBY threadThe Mad Hanar wrote...

I've seen it four times and I have to say I love it. I also know the original fairty tale, "The Snow Queen" written by Hans Christian Anderson, the same guy who wrote the original fairty tale "The Little Mermaid."
I wouldn't really call it white-washed though. Yes, it does NOT focus on the main characters from the original story, heck, their names are only mentioned in the end credits and never in the film, but Disney is most definitely NOT white-washing it. Without spoiling it, Disney willingly lets darker themes into this show, including death (but not quite the level of Mufasa's death from The Lion King.")
Disney pokes fun at its own cliche's in this movie, all the characters are well-developed, and yes, I mean ALL the characters. They have their motivations, strengths, weaknesses, personal foibles, and no one is completely flat or one-dimensional. Several characters develop as the story progresses, mature, and learn from their mistakes.
AND.....
Rupunzel and Flynn from "Tangled" make a cameo in this movie.

So...is it a good movie?
I give it a 10 out of 10. I think it's one of the best movies Disney came out with since The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and so on.
