Frozen's getting FAR more acclaim than Brave and Tangled. It needed its own separate page just to list its many accolades.

Does this surprise you? I haven't seen it, but from what I've heard, Brave was rather meh.

I haven't seen Brave, but my stepfather has. He enjoyed it. And people seemed to like Merida.

So some guy sang a 'love is an open door' duet with his girlfriend then at the end of the song, continues Hans dialogue and genuinely asks her to marry him.

The man's got style.

I'm so happy for them, though I'm simultaneously terrified

I was disappointed. She was supposed to say something crazier, not OH MY GOD!

Tsk. Supposedly big fans, can't even get the lyrics right.

NEVER

Nah, they both did a good job, they could sing pretty well.

And yes, these two. They sure get around a lot.

Having ice powers and a younger sister means a lot of sleepless nights it would seem. And great annoyance/terror.

Just got back from the theater. It was good.

The animation is some of the best I have seen in a Disney film. I wouldnt say it was "better" then tangled but I did find the winter/ice animation to be gorgeous.
Plot was typical Disney material although the focus on a different type of love other then romantic was a bit refreshing. It did not really surprise me at any point but it was still charming.
I liked the musical aspect but I doubt I would buy the CD or anything. The one song that was kind of a standout was the one Elsa was singing about being free, really liked that one. Speaking of which that ice palace she made during that song was amazing!
Anna was a cool and worked well as the main character but Elsa was my favorite character.

Overall, I would say the animations and Elsa's character are the real standouts of the movie for me.

One thing that really, REALLY bothered me though.... I hated the children in the theater. I can stand the kids that started crying through various scenes, but the 50 kids that talked the entire movie drove me crazy and kind of ruined the experience a bit. The 10 year old beside me started popping this cup lid endlessly on any scene that got remotely quiet, which got so irritating.

Elsa would start crying when Anna got frozen and I would just hear "Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop...."

I found Brave to be dissapointingly average. I think its one of the less memorable Pixar films I've seen. I figured out exactly where the movie was going within 5 minutes, minus a bear being involved.

Frozen is WAY better imo.

Ugh, I know that feel, there were a few vocal kids on my cinema visit. The hazards of seeing a Disney film I guess.

Another one I have yet to see, but one thing I can tell already is, I dont care much for its animation. Similar to Frozen/Tangled, but like its trying too hard to look more relaistic.

There weren't any vocal kids in my first viewing, but there were in the 3D visit.

Though it was charming. A little girl was singing Let It Go during the credits. :3

^ Thats kind of cute. One kid in the theater started crying when the parents died, that I can understand too.

I just hate when you go an entire movie with non-stop talking in the theater. I am going to try and see this movie a 2nd time during a showing with less kids if possible, because it really did kind of bring down the experience for me and I feel like the movie deserved better.

You want to go for an early viewing. Try noonish. Thats what I did on my first viewing, my second was later in the day at like 3:40 PM.

Interesting, the first and only time I saw the movie, I heard a young girl crying behind me when Anna got turned into a popsicle.

Yeah, going at 3:15PM on a Saturday was a poor choice on my part. I don't see tons of G rated movies though.

Noon viewing then. Or earlier if you feel like it.

Noon it is.

On the plus side, the theater was completely packed, so that means the movie must still be doing well.

Whenever they planned to pull the movie from theatres, I hope they extend it beyond that point.

The demand is there.
