^ Like the style

I would like to see it hit the Billion $ gross mark, just cause.

That would take rereleases, I imagine. I can't see it happening in just its first go. The Lion King made 987 million including all its releases, not just its original. If Frozen could beat that in one go I wouldn't know how to react.

Well, it took an hour for me to figure out how to do it, then a full day for it to upload to the site, but...

Heh, a fine choice.

Though one thing. Credit where credits due, TheBlackBaron supplied the gif  ;)

Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, fillies and gentlecolts-

Frozen has officially become the fiftieth highest grossing film in cinema history.

Awesome job. I'd wager it could go even further still.

And hopefully it will. 2012 and Kingdom of the crystal skull have no place on such a list.

It will. It made quite a bit of money globally this week. There will be diminishing returns of course, but then I don't recall Frozen being released in China or Japan yet.

I wonder when that'll happen or if I'm just missing something.

5th February for China and as late as the 14th of March for Japan. It ain't out in Sweden yet either. :P

So in that case it definitely will. Pretty sure Japan particularly like their Disney, so there'll be a ton more there alone.

It could move really far up that list.

Ahh, okay. Didn't know the dates, thanks.

Poor Sweden. Sweden should get The Snow Queen sooner rather than later.

Course, the Academy Awards, given a win or two, should help advertise the film or at least its DVDs/Blu-Rays.

Here's a full list of dates. Quite a few places of particular import where its only been released within the last few days, South Korea being one of them.

Never realised it would take so long for it to get to certain places. And Sweden's date is particularly unjust.

Indeed. Hopefully the internet's love affair with Frozen will have crossed the language barrier and generated plenty of hype for those three.

It could potentially skyrocket from that 50th spot.

I don't see much skyrocketing, even with China's number of people, Japan's love of animation, and Sweden's stock in The Snow Queen story.

A well deserved spot, if I might be so bold. But what if we were to go even higher? *laughs maniacally*

And what is this I am hearing? A Scandinavian and fellow neighbour country hasn't yet had the chance to experience the awesomeness that is Frozen!? Paint me green and call me a pickle, but that is absurd!

Translations tend to mess up songs. I saw the movie in Spanish (not my choice), Let it Go isn't nearly as good and half of For the First Time in Forever doesn't even make sense :? . And except for the songs the translation is quite good.

Hmmm, I don't know... If things stay strong everywhere else like they seem to be...

And we should never underestimate the swedes.
