I really liked the part when Dr. Papanak ate Horace Horsecollar's blood.

I haven't seen this yet...and I'm in no hurry, given the huge backlog of stuff to see.

The art style seems copy-pasted from a few other animated movies I've seen. But I guess it's the anime syndrome (almost all anime gurls look a like..within a given anime art sub-style) so no biggie.

There have been quite a few Frozen/MLP crossovers since...before its release, I think.

Glad that Disney's taking full advantage of Frozen's success. High gear level

I was really impressed with Frozen's throwback to the old Disney animations wherein most of it was song. Very good story and not nearly as predictable as I imagined. I'm curious though, that the success of Frozen may spell the end of traditional cell animation in favor of the computer (ala Pixar) stuff.

Even before Frozen came out Disney was prepping to leave hand drawn for computer animation.

Honestly though, I feel Frozen shows they've got the right idea.

I enjoyed Frozen more the The Wind Rises.... :bandit: A lot more... and I love Miyazaki ... but no

Also "Let it Go" won the Critics Choice award. :D

Also I honestly think Frozen would have been better animated traditionally. Somes of the worst flaws of the movie are due to the fact that it's a 3D animation .

Another reason 2D animation is superior then 3D is that with 2D animation there are no limits to what you can create other then your imagination, but with 3D we're still limited by technological power.

But the reason Disney is ditching the prospect is because it's cheaper and easier to produce 3D animation. That's really the only reason.

I wonder if in the future we'll get remakes of old 3D movies... like we're getting with videogames now.

There are scenes in Frozen that would have been impossible to do - or at least make look as pretty - with traditional animation. So 3D works great for it (and certainly nobody's ever had a problem with Pixar).

I do have to wonder what happened to Disney's original plan to alternate between traditional and 3D that they announced back around when Princess and the Frog came out. Maybe they can just alternate princess movies instead.

EDIT: Also, Despicable Me 2 was a hilarious movie, but it hasn't stuck with me or a whole bunch of people like Frozen has.
