At least animated films stand the test of time much more than live action does.

With Frozen, after watching it, you'll realize you watched a classic in its heyday.

See, the massive exposure of this thread makes me want to check out this movie.
However, I don't want to be the creepy 20 something walking in to see this himself. I can't even do that with most other movies.

Just pretend that your hoodie is an invisibility cloak, that's what I did.

Hmm? Don't you wear your hoodie like an invisibility cloak when you're watching crunchyroll? The NSA or Google could be watching you through your webcam or your phone.

Can't say I blame you.

Not the weirdest thing the internet has produced, but really...

I mean, really?

Obligatory pallet cleanser.

Little something I found on Tumblr

So I have seen/heard:
- whole theaters gasping
- a mother gasping and shouting “HOW COULD YOU?” at the screen while her young kids told her to be quiet
- one boyfriend saying “HOLY ****, YOU DOUCHEBAG”
- another boyfriend saying “…did he just…? DAMN”
- yet another boyfriend saying “…ouch” with an audible wince of sympathy
- a little girl in front of me saying “…no” in a hushed, horrified voice
- and a girl around my age literally STANDING UP and screaming at the screen “YOU ****ING ****!” while her boyfriend physically restrained her and tried to calm her down

Audience Reactions to the ████ ██████: easily one of the best parts of seeing Frozen in the theater.

I loved getting people's reactions in the theatre for that. It was better the first time in the theatre than the 3D showing though, as far as reactions went.

I don't think I've ever heard other people make audible reactions during a film before.

There were a good few off that list during Frozen though.

There was a heart wrenching audible reaction from a little girl during my 3D viewing getting towards the end of the film. So goooooood

Well, I just watched it. It was an entertaining movie, but it's definitely not Disney's strongest. Definitely NOT a fan of the movie being 60% musical numbers. There's a break point when musical numbers start to damage the willing suspension of disbelief, and that line was crossed pretty early in the movie. Excellent cinematography, and the emotion in the animation is definitely a big bump up from the animation in Tangled or Brave.

Definite thumbs down for the story and its avalanche of clichés (pun intended). It definitely felt like an exercise in pointlessness towards the end. Even the "unexpected" act of love wasn't unexpected (I called it the moment Papa Troll used the words "act of true love" because I knew not even Disney would do something as predictable as making it a romantic act of love).

Overall, I liked it, but it's not the kind of movie I would re-watch for its story. Rather, Frozen is the kind of movie I would want to re-watch for its eye-watering (and freezing) visuals.

That said, there is no doubt in my mind that it will win the academy award for best animated feature.

We'll see. I certainly hope so, but given award show history, anything can happen.

The only real competition as I see it is Miyazaki's swan song, and from what I've heard, its reception has not been as warm as that of his previous films.

But like you say, anything could happen.

I just saw it recently...

Well I never thought I'd be watching much Disney after I hit 20 but I liked it quite a lot, especially the music.  I'm purchasing this as soon as its out.

I really hope I never tire of listening to "Let it Go"

I never thought Disney would leave my life. I'm with them for life, given the Renaissance and now Frozen. I'd love to experience the stuff they're doing with it over at Disney World.

Meh it's all about world of color

Wow. Now dats something.

Yeah I'm sad I didnt get to see that version of World of Color in person.  I'm hoping the "Let it Go" segment becomes part of the regular show because it's something really special.

I'm beginning to feel the same way.

Its nice to shed that "That stuff's for kids!" Knee jerk reaction.

People are actually asking/pushing Disney to keep Frozen stuff around all the time, or at least longer than planned, so hey you never know.
