Just another in a long line of things that simply had to be, in time.

Don't know why Hans wanted to be King anyway. Seems like being the Queen's brother-in-law would be a sweeter gig. All the perks, none of the responsibility.

Ask a million different Kings why they wanted to be King, and you'll get a million different answers.

Heh, seems like he did indeed miss out on a sweet gig, so far as I'm concerned. But that's people, we're all different.

As for his own motivation, who knows? You could always headcannon in what a lot of the fanbase seems to be with stuff like the above, suggesting his family have belittled and degraded him for not being in line to his own throne.

Total supposition.

Headcannons do tend to take liberties with the truth, and that's if they're not already complete fabrications.

Elsa likes turkey sandwiches.

Prove me wrong.

I feel like people use "headcanon" in an overly disparaging way. As though we all haven't been filling in the blanks of stories with our own suppositions since humans started telling each other stories in the first place.

Not always. I think head canon is used equally positively and negatively without leaning towards one or the other. And thats for any form of fiction.

Counter headcannon -

Elsa's allergic to sandwiches.

Thats why Anna always has to finish them.

Elsa can't be allergic to sandwiches, sandwiches are made up of multiple components/ingredients and hve no particular control group

Try again

Definitely at times, but here its just harmless continuation of the story. They've got little or nothing to go on, so it has to be headcannon.

I'd prefer headcanon over below-standard material, anyway.

What gets me is that a lot of people seem to just WANT to like Hans' that's why they invent traumatic backstory for him.

Everyone likes a Woobie.
Except me...because I am one.
I like to think he engages in regular puppy throwing.

But we already knew that, didn't we?

Quite certain. Why, even just the thought of all that bread and filling was enough to send him into asphyxiation.

I'll admit that I've fallen foul of this. I have no resistance to such things. :(

He knows how to rock sideburns though, and I'll always respect him for that.
