Do not breakup with Miranda on 1st Citadel encounter. Initiate other romance (Liara or VS if available) prior to meeting Miranda for the 3rd encounter (apartment.) You're golden.

Easy.
Do collector base mission after you get laid, then break up with Miranda post-campaign.
6 months later in Me3, she would be over it. And you can go back to whoever you romanced in ME1.
