It would still be interesting to see a comparison with Dark Channel, which last's longer and has its effect go onto a different target if the original target was killed. I would imagine DC would be better against boss units?

uh ok? I'm saying that I had all of that equipment and it still wasn't "easy". You're not the right person to be judging what is or isn't easy for new players.

btw an easy gold solo and an easily obtained lone wolf go hand in hand, you wouldn't say 2 hard gold solos was an easily earned lone wolf banner.

Good point.

No matter the kit, Lonewolf isn't easy.

And to rehash a very old debate, It is the only banner that requires some degree of skill.

My reading is fine . Its your poor expression that is the problem. You say its  not a guide - but rather the "video ..was  .meant for  other players trying to get the
Lone Wolf,  thus I chose a build more suited for less experienced
players "
So what exactly is the point of the video ?What can a inexperieced player possibly learn from the video other than that Reave is a good power . Duh .  How on earth is your build a good build for new players wanting to solo gold ?

Sorry, misunderstanding again. The video I posted here was not in any way a "guide" for players, and as you can see in the video I didn't put all my points in on the build, so by default this is not a build for less experienced players. The build that I'm refering to is the one in the solo videos that I did after uploading this video, and I believe that those just got uploaded on Youtube.

Here are videos with a full build suited for less experienced players:

www.youtube.com/watch
www.youtube.com/watch

And here is my solo using only Reave:

DC would not be better against boss units, you can get more DPS from Reave to boss units as well as targeting three enemies at once.

1. I used to be a new player as well you know. And I created this thread as a question open for discussion and I wanted to now other people's opinion about the AJ for a Gold solo. There is not need to get hostile and personal my friend.

2. Too bad English is not my native language, feels like I can't really explain too well what I mean with that

That would be cheating in order to get it. I read about someone managing to get that to work once here, but I don't know if people have actually been able to duplicate that.

Yes. Wave 10 host migration.

Wave 11 works too.

@ dumdum. OK understand. Will look at other vids.

Pull as power seems a bit under rated by many players. With the lift damage on Ev 5 and BE damage on 6 it is a very useful power. With Power Amp 4 and power mod on weapon (eg CSMG) it will kill husks and Cannibals with one use. Same applies to unarmoured Cerberus and Geth enemies.

Lift and forget. Doesn't get any easier than that. It also has the best recharge rate and most importantly - lifted enemies can not shoot, melee or throw grenades at you.

No fitness build with offensive Bubble for fun and damage. Reave for armour /barriers, annoying mooks and detonating powerful BEs.

Easiest Gold solo?
Salarian engineer vs Geth.
Fully spec'd Energy Drain and Incinerate *3 TIERS OF DECOY* - works like a charm.
Take a hard hitting weapon that isnt too heavy - Wraith or whatever.

There has to be one player from start to finish.....had someone join a silver I had started solo, they left after a few seconds I finished solo and it didn't register even though I was at 3/5

Wrong. My 3rd "gold solo" was a full team game with a host migration on wave 11. I was the only one that made it back in, and it registered.

On Platinum you won't really get any use from Pull, but since the extra health and shields that you can get from Fitnees will not really help my survivability on Platinum then I rather have Pull anyway. On Gold it is actually a useful power as you say, it is good for BE or you can just equip a Talon as your weapon and shoot everything that you pull. I found after that the Talon is actually one of the best (if not the best) weapon on this character when going for a full offensive build.

After I've done these videos now I will respec the character before I play it next time, no Fitness and no Cyclonic ;)

Have you got any "regular" Justicar footage with pull (preferably without an Acolyte)? I've always found her boring, and I'd like to see how others play her. I've put 4 points back in pull and use it quite a bit just for a bit more variety.

Lone Wolf really should have made you solo a platinum.

There's always Geth trooper against reapers on Giant.

That still, is not an easy thing to do for the average to "good" player.  Soloing platinum is not easy unless you've done it a lot of times.

Hmm, not sure, have only played this game on average 1-2 hours per week for more than a year, and I can't remember if I recorded any Justicar videos back in the days when I actually used to play it a bit.

On Gold I find pull to be a very good power, but due to so many armored and shielded enemies on Platinum it gets less effective by default. Still better than fitness on Platinum in my opinion since the extra health and shields you get from fitness won't really do anything on that difficulty.

The benefit from pull on Platinum in my opinion is that you can stagger enemies with it, that it has a really low cooldown and that you can make Banshees and Phantoms block which can allow you to kill them faster and make them less dangerous. Of course with an Acolyte we all know the drill, shoot -> pull -> reave = win.

^ Fair enough. I think I'm satisfied with the way I've started playing her now. I used to spec out of pull completely, and always used to forget to deploy the bubble, so it was just reave>shoot, which was effective but boring as hell. Using all three powers has changed that.

Yeah, having all 3 powers on her makes all the difference when playing this character. I like to go up to rank 6 in all powers though, including Pull. The BE you get from having those in rank 6 (and especially with rank 6a evolution on Pull) makes those explosions quite powerful :)

I'm ok with 4 for now, and I'm not so sure about the rank 6 BE boost evolution for pull anymore. The wording makes it sound like it will only apply to enemies that have been pulled. I'll search and probably make a thread if I can't find anything.

Hmm, I'll have to test that then to see just how the evolution works

just reave is boring but it is effective

otherwise I wouldn;'t be taking my level 16 Justicar into gold with no noticacble dropoff in perfromance
