The only DA death that broke my heart was when Bethany died in the Deep Roads. But that one isn't set in stone, so she or Carver either become a Grey Warden or stay in Kirkwall in every subsequent play through. Leandra's death was a little too ridiculous for me to be upset about. Maybe I'd bring her back just to save her from that ignoble end.

He/she is a reformed character, just as pissed off at the endless Mage/Templar ****fest as you are, and want to be the first Darkspawn LI in the DA series.

They have self image issues, dialogue is mostly grunts laced with heavy sarcasm, and hope one day to become a bard, but so far have crushed every musical instrument they have ever held with their huge ogre hands.

@Yendor_Trawz: If by "whiny" you mean - "Not an unstoppable player juggernaut who doesn't act at all like a real person would." Yeah - I suppose he was.

He was an Isolationist - he wasn't some psycho mage fanatic looking to shoot fireballs at anyone who looked at him crosseyed.

He is the face of all the mages that didn't deserve what Uldred did - and for myself, all the mages who are going to have to "deal" with what zealots have chosen for them in the mage rebellion.

Yes. from memory, most of that conversation was him moaning about his lack of impact in his life and inability to do anything about Uldred's coup.

My Warden nodded along and agreed with his spinelessness.
