Duncan, he didn't get enough of a role, and I don't think he should have died. He was a heroic Grey Warden, and I wish he could have stayed in the game.

Yes. from memory, most of that conversation was him moaning about his lack of impact in his life and inability to do anything about Uldred's coup.

My Warden nodded along and agreed with his spinelessness.

So, in the middle of a crisis, a guy dies and feels he didn't do enough.  What a shocker.<_<

Clearly he should've remarked about the weather and do a dance as the warden left.

Another vote for Mhairi, and it would have been very interesting if our choice of siding with mages or templars at the end of DA2 would have meant keeping either Meredith or Orsino alive and on our side.

Andraste or Koslun, just to see what they think of their respective religions.

Niall - the guy didn't deserve what Uldred brought down on him in the name of mage freedom.

I still hold onto the hope that he transformed into a spirit, but thats probably wishful thinking.
I'd probly bring back Tamlen  or Seneschal Varel

or Awakening Anders.

I wish Nathaniel didn't have the possibility of dying in DAA. It's kinda ridiculous that there's only *one* Grey Warden that we've met and know for a fact is alive in everyone's playthroughs. Nathaniel deserves moreeeeee! ;-;

Ser Otto (blind templar you meet in alienage orphanage ghost quest).

He was a great minor NPC and I was devastated when he died. I would really like to see him evolve more as a character.

I saw his death from a mile away, but that doesn't mean I wanted him to die. I wanted to learn so much more about his character. He seemed like a nice Templar.

King Cailan.

He was glorious, and lived gloriously.

Ser Otto, he was a very kind but determined soul.

First Enchanter Orsino, the need for a boss fight killed him, he could have died with dignity or something.

Of course most of my characters would want to save family members but I like most of their deaths in the context of the story so I'm going to pick someone I'd rather see get more development So Daveth definitely I think he's the type that would have eventually made a good successor to someone like Duncan. Underneath the glib and surface scoundrel bits he seems
to be a good guy and understand what it means to be a Grey Warden.

Daveth: The wardens do what they must right?
Jory: Including sacrificing us?
Daveth: I'd sacrifice a lot more if it meant ending the blight. You saw those darkspawn ser-knight. Would you die to protect your pretty wife from them? Daveth: Maybe you'll die. Maybe we'll all die, but if no one stops the darkspawn, we'll die for sure.

Duncan.

Without hesitation, I would choose Duncan, because I just adored
him. Plus I wanted to get to know him better. I'd also like to find out
what he'd think about how the Warden and Al dealt with the blight-not
to mention the present state that the world is in.

He might still be alive, I know if you spare him and aallow him to continue his research you will find a letter and potion or draught in DA2. Not if they stated otherwise or how long exactly he had left to live.

Anyway I guess Daveth, Mirhi, and Maric
