From Dragon Age Origin: Iona, she had a daughter, and she was more or less under my protection when she died. I had a responsibility to protect her, and I failed in that duty, costing an innocent girl her family. That is a wrong I would like to correct.

Dragon Age 2, it was close but I chose Grand Cleric Elithina, since she was murdered by someone I considered a friend until the games end. She meant well, though she had her flaws just like everyone else, and I honestly believe she did more good than some would give her credit for on this forum.

Ogre-killed sibling. I wanted to be a mage and have Bethany or a sword guy and Carver. Didn't like the game deciding that on class.

Howe. Stick him in some hell thing where every day birds come and peck at him but he heels 24 hours so he can suffer again. And then when I get bored I can sever a few limbs and stab him and make him dead, so he can come back and I can do it again and again and again.

Or Andraste, to settle the issue once and for all. I personally suspect she was a mage of all things. But if she wasn't I'd still like to know about it.

I've already given a vote to Mhairi but I'd also like to lend my support to Daveth. He seemed a very interesting character and came across, to me at least, as a lot more likeable than Jory.

Nyssa.  I don't think I've ever felt so helpless - or frustrated - by a game than when I had to sit there and watch Huon kill her after my PC had promised to protect her.

This. It might be different if she turned up dead while I was away somewhere else, but to just stand there and watch her die...  <_<

Wynne. I uh... I killed her in my first mage playthrough, not realizing she was a potential companion. *cough* I've heard she dies in one of the books, anyway.

Alternatively, that templar that the blood mages kill in DA2. That guy got the short end of the stick. Stupid crazy blood mages.

I completely agree with you on Maric. While I have played both games, when I read Stolen Throne Maric's character was great and I loved his story. I wish he'd been there during the blight, at least then Loghain wouldn't have been such an idiot.

Ser Jory. He should still have those points I wasted on him with those exp tombs in my very first play-through of DAO. But make him a 'red shirt' to die in a wonderfully ridiculous scene involving a nug, an enraged ogre, and that elf who we stole off him a sword in Ostagar (was his name Puck or somesuch?).

He might be able to sort things out with Flemeth and the whole dragon problem. Plus the Orlesian threat to Ferelden Alistair talked about in DA2.

Bethany...that whole thing with the Ogre is only one of two issues I had with DA2.

I think it would have been much, much more exciting than brother dip**** being a Templar. Having Hawke as a free apostate and Bethany as a Circle Mage would have been an absolutely brilliant plot device, esp if they were sisters. Let me tell you from personal expereince there is no sibling rivalry more contentious than between sisters when they are young and competing. And of course Bethany would start to resent Hawke for her freedom.


And if at the end Bethany is in cahoots with Anders in blowing up the Chantry and Hawke finds out! Can you imagine the sister of the Champion blowing up the circle mage.

Or if she was actually dating Anders WOW! And perhaps even turn to blood magic and when Hawke would inevitably confront her about being irrespsonsible about turning to blood magic BUT if Hawke was with Merrill (love interest) Bethany could throw that back in her face. It would have been such a HUGE ****ing cat figt! So much more potential for high drama and real conflict not the contrived crap with Carver.

Tamlen! Oh my gosh, I want Tamlen back! It was devastating for me and for my Dalish Elf Warden when he just "vanished." (assumed dead by everyone) Then when he appears later... seeing him like that... </3 it broke my heart. I really liked Tamlen from the very beginning. I felt like him and my character were extremely close friends. I liked his design and ... well, everything about him.
