I disagree. Isolde was the one who tried to hide his magic, starting this whole mess. And I don't blame the kid for wanting his dad back.
Not really. He didn't turn because he was scared to be taken away or something.

You're talking about a four to six year old boy you know. You lay all the blame on a child. Not on the poisoner, not on the person who hired the poisoner, not on the person who hid him, not on incompetency, but on what is likely the most innocent person in the whole situation.
Well....I can safely say you won't be on my advisory board when I'm playing as my Inquisitor.

The point Rotward is making, I think, is that Isolde didn't want her son to be taken from her, and found it humiliating due to her faith. (Yet more proof that the Chantry doesn't treat mages well in its sermons. I think it was Lotion debating this point?) So, the Chantry is responsible on both counts.
Now, you can argue that it's Isolde, not the Chantry, that's in the wrong on the former count. On the other hand, if as the evidence suggests the Chantry really does inflame hatred of mages, that's a little less excusable.

Emille de Lancet was in the Circle since he was six, so it's possible. Now that I think on it, somewhere between 6 and 10 is more accurate, since Connor hasn't had much time for training. Only a few weeks tops.

I thought it was because her family had a mage that they hid from the Chantry in it, who was a rotten ol' coot? She says something about her grandfather... uncle's? staff when she hands it over as a reward.

More then likely not. Since his mother would have found a mage who could actually teach to teach him. But becuase Jawen was locked up for what he did there was no one to watch Connor so on one to help or teach him. And if it wasn't for the hate that the Chantry spreds everywhere about mages his mother might not have minded Connor going to the circle. Which IMO is a death sentence. Anyway as I was saying it wouldn't have happened if the Arl had just fallen ill.The Mad Hanar wrote...

Yeah because Logain had nothing to do with that or the Chantry? It was all the fault of one scared child. No one else had a hand in that. The Mad Hanar wrote...
Keep everything as it is, and tell any mage that is upset with their position the tale of Redcliffe.
And if he wasn't sick as a result of foul play? If he was just deathly ill? The child would've done the same thing, and the village would've still been ravaged.

You can blame him for slaughtering his people, mutilating his servants and making the village into undead monsters though.
His biggest crime was this abomination.
