So killing the kid brings those people back?

No, but all of that could've been prevented if the kid was in the Circle. Which was my original point.

True, but so many other things, had they happened or not happened, would also have prevented it from happening. It all cannot be blamed on one person, one event or whatever.

If Loghain hadn't hired someone to poison Eamon, Eamon wouldn't have fallen ill and Connor wouldn't have made the deal.

If Isolde wasn't so desperate not to lose her son to the Circle, and Connor had gone, it wouldn't have happened.

If Isolde had found an apostate on her own and not gone to Loghain to help her, it wouldn't have happened.
"Isolde: I trusted Loghain. Why wouldn't I? How would I know the mage he sent would be a murderer?"

There are a lot of factors going on here. Loghain shares the blame, Isolde has a lot of the blame, Jowan has some blame for poisoning Eamon, and Connor was desperate to help his father, and he didn't even know there was a demon to make a deal with.

And like I said, if his father was deathly ill without any of the other circumstances, do you think it would've happened any other way?

The problem involving the Redcliffe Incident can't be traced to a single source for causing it to trigger and thus blame. It was a culmination of events that caused the tragedy to occur.

It was Connor's fault as he served as the catalyst.

I don't really blame Connor as much as I see it as an example of the consequences of keeping a mage unchecked or putting a mage in a perilous situation without anyone around to do damage control.

If you must assign blame to a single person, the culpriit would have to be the Desire Demon. She manipulated and caused this to happen and thus is the one to blame. And what do you know, you can punish her by going into the Fade and killing her. Killing Connor really doesn't solve anything since the real culprit just goes back to the Fade without harm.

And if it wasn't for the hate that the Chantry spreds everywhere about mages his mother might not have minded Connor going to the circle. Which IMO is a death sentence.

Well guess what Champ? Connor helped validate the Chantry's concern about Mages.

Guess what it was all the Chantry's fault to begin with. If they didn't tell everyone that mages are living sin. The embodiment of the reason the Maker turned his back on the world do you think there self fufilling prophosies would come true? It you can't figure it out on your own I'll tell you the answer, no.

Oh, it is a cautionary tale to be sure. If Connor had been in the circle or even just had a regular teacher of magic tutoring him, this would have been prevented. I'm surprised Jowan didn't start his schooling as "Lesson 1: Demons Are Bad."

The Desire Demon is just a mad dog that Connor let out of its cage, he opened up Pandora's box and got hundreds or even thousands killed, he deserved his fate.

Yeah it's not a thousand years of horrific subjugation by the Magocracy or the unleashment of the Darkspawn, it's the Chantry.

Oh hello Nostradamus, I didn't know you were still around.

Connor wasn't even Connor during that event, just the Desire Demon parading around Redcliffe Keep in a brand new Connor suit.(points for whoever gets the reference:D)
And the Desire Demon seemed nothing like a mad dog. She was the most intelligent person in the situation and knew exactly what she was doing, pretty much the opposite of a mad dog.

See. this is the problem I have with pro-mage arguments. There is way too much blame shifting. "Oh the Templars made them do it" or "Oh the Chantry made them do it." No. They made the decisions themselves. Wynne lived under Circle rule, she didn't turn to blood magic or demons. Irving did too. Bethany actually stated that she enjoyed the Circle. This whole "opression leading to violence" thing does not hold weight. Maybe if every other encounter with a mage didn't include some kind of demon people would be willing ot hear the mages side more often.

It's a manifestation of evilness that was let into the world by the dumb child.

So, who said manifestations are mad dogs? Every Desire, Sloth, and Pride Demon the player ever has the option to actually converse with are extremelt intelligent and fully in control of themselves.

And exactly. A dumb child. One who has never been taught that you should be weary of someone offering you help from the Fade and was scared that he would lose his father. The Desire Demon saw this and becided to "lend her assistance" to the child. What you're saying is akin to blaming the child involved in being assaulted by a pedophile when they haven't been taught to not get into cars with strangers.

I like how you have it so the gif doesn't chop anywhere from start to finish but instead flows when reset so it makes a seamless transition when resetting.

He let the beast in and that killed thousands, got a murder knife.

And the "beast" suffers nothing from it. Congratulations, you shot the criminal's meatshield and the criminal escaped.

I wish I could do custom pics, but I only have Xbox games and the PC CC trick doesn't seem to work for me. :(
